Abi will have a career in the music industry there is a market for singer/song writers just like her. I couldn't stand Diana Vickers but she still does OK. My son loved her .....he went to see her for the umpteenth time quite recently.

And I am the same. I'm a  bit of a stickler about only opening cards and pressies on the day etc.

The X Factor team are very proud to announce this little bit of news from Simon Cowell.

This weekend, ITV, Syco Entertainment and Fremantle will together donate a minimum of 50 pence from every track downloaded of tonight's X Factor live performances to the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.

We will also together donate 15 pence of every contestant vote cast on this weekend's X Factor to the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.

Simon Cowell pledged via Twitter: "Tonight @thexfactor has backed The Sun's campaign for DEC Philippines Appeal & we are donating profits from votes & downloads too."

He added: "All of us around the world have been horrified by the scenes of utter devastation that have appeared on our television screens and in our newspapers. The Philippines is suffering from a natural disaster that is almost too unbelievable to understand and they need our help now.

"We are playing our part on The X Factor to support these people who desperately need our help."

Nicholas McDonald is a National hero, regardless of where he finishes in X-Factor! They had him out singing Flower of Scotland at the Scottish international football match the other day.
