Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to stage a dramatic X Factor return next year but it seems that not everyone wants him back.

It’s been claimed that the music mogul has been alarmed and angered by the serious ratings slump the show has fallen into in the past year, with viewing figures each weekend coming in at half of what they were three years ago when he was on the panel.

Insiders have claimed that he will be back for six live shows in 2013 and that in the meantime, he has been sending friends, colleagues and even his brother down to the London studios to report back on goings on behind the scenes.

Ella Henderson has been offered a record deal by Simon Cowell, it’s been reported.

Ella became the latest singer to leave the competition in Sunday evening’s shocking XFactor 2012 results after she fell into the bottom two with James Arthur.

The judges couldn’t split the pair and sent the decision to deadlock, with Ella leaving having received the fewest public votes.

Now The Sun reports that Simon is keen to sign the 16-year-old to his Syco record label.

However rival labels Columbia, Epic and RCA – all also part of the Sony brand – are bidding for the teenager.

Ella’s dad has taken over as manager for the youngster and is apparently negotiating the deal, which is expected to be confirmed after the current series finished.

It’s claimed that X Factor boss Simon wants to launch Ella both in the UK and US and hopes she’ll replace Leona Lewis, who has seen sales falling in recent years.

A source said: “Ella is the most exciting thing to have come out of this year’s X Factor.

“Simon can’t believe she got the boot but he’s not losing any sleep over it as he can see the pound signs in his eyes.

“He’s confident Syco will get her but if she goes elsewhere within Sony he’s still quids in.”

I read some comments yesterday on Huffinton Post about Ella being evicted, the posters were angry, some were almost hysterical which is ridiculous to get so attached to someone they don't know and will probably never meet.

How totally stupid were some of the comments I read, e.g blaming Tulisa because she chose to save Ryan over Kye...what the heck has that got to do with not enough public support for Ella???? Ella, James and Jahmene will all be given recording opportunities, so what's the problem

bloody charming .... makes me dislike this whole set up even more

"out with the old....and in with the new"

In the year Leona took part I thought she was one of the best newcomers to the music scene for a long time. Since then from her recordings I've heard I've been disappointed by her musical choices.

If Simon is now ditching his interests from Leona to Ella it doesn't surprise me at all!!! That's how shallow the music business is, it's only interested in following the money makers
