X Factor 2012 panel

Brian Friedman will be back in charge of The X Factor live shows this year,  after quitting for the US last autumn.

Simon Cowell had taken Brian with him for the first series of the American X  Factor, replacing him with Elizabeth Honan.

Beth had choregraphed for Girls Aloud and former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole,  including her epic live performances on the show.

But her moves for the contestants didn’t go down so well, with many viewers  complaining about the poor routines.

A source told The Sun this morning: “America is teeming with great  choreographers so Simon could spare him to return to the UK. Last year’s  performances were often atrocious in Simon’s eyes mainly because the  choreography was all wrong.

“Brian instinctively knows what works and he was sorely missed. Simon has dug  out his cheque book and given him a load of cash and said ‘fix it’.”

The supposed insider added: “The producers are delighted because they have  the top guy back on board.”

Now all they need to do is sack last year’s stylist too

The X Factor 2012 judges

X Factor 2012 girl group Tae Blondo have claimed they were set up to have a  flop audition by the show’s producers.

The trio of girls were briefly seen in Saturday night’s opening show as guest  judge Mel B went on her rampage.

The Spice Girl told the trio, Beth 22, Holly 23 and Beau 27 from east Sussex: “The dancing was lazy and sloppy, one of you were doing it half heartedly.”

But the girls have claimed that producers had told them how to dress and even  told them what song to sing.

She told The Sun today: “Mel told us ‘You look like you belong in a  Playboy mansion’ and said the song was dated. Yet they were the two things they  knew we would do. The producers also asked us to talk about Mel B, then edited  it to look as if we were scared.”

She added: “They’ve obviously done it to make Mel B live up to her reputation  as Scary Spice. It was clearly a set up.”

A spokesperson for The X Factor told the newspaper last night: “Contestants  make their own decisions about what to wear and what to sing.”

It follows similar claims by Pink reject Zoe Alexander, who had also  suggested she had been told what to sing.

But Richard Holloway, executive producer of the show, explained at last  week’s launch: “Every act comes with five songs prepared. All the contestants  that go in front of the judges are spoken to by the production team, obviously  they have to get all the CD tracks, the karaoke tracks or live instruments.

“Whatever they are going to play, the conversation takes place between them  and us in terms of what they want to sing and their choices, the final decision  in terms of what they are going to sing when they walk onto that stage is 100%  theirs.”

Simon Cowell has reportedly dropped ex-girlfriend Sinitta as a contributor on the upcoming season of The X Factor UK.
The former '80s popstar has periodically joined Cowell - and more recently Louis Walsh - at the Judges' Houses stage of the reality competition show.

However, a source close to the show told the Daily Mail that Cowell has let Sinitta go after she allegedly refused to sign a confidentiallity agreement legally binding her from discussing details of the X Factor process.
"Sinitta is extremely disappointed because she felt she would always be a central part of the show after so many years," the source explained.
"Even though she remains close friends with Simon, she's one of the few people who is prepared to tell him where to go. That's exactly what she did."
The source has also confirmed recent rumours that Sharon Osbourne will take Sinitta's place as Louis Walsh's advisor at the judge's house round.
