As for the back stories, Jahmene has definitely had the most challenging life so far, a horrendous childhood that no child deserves to be a part of, and the loss of his brother in 2008. I was quite shocked by some of the comments on here when his story unfolded, it wasn't a sob story, it was a tragic story
I really can't remember anyone saying anything different YR, there's no doubt he and his family have been through absolute hell. I think that some, including myself, get fed up with these stories being repeated week after week in an aim to get people to vote, it's supposed to be a singing/performing competition, not a 'who has had the most horrendous life' competition. Calling this tactic use of a 'sob story' is shorthand to describe that i.e
