TBH though I'm not that bothered.................and - as far as 'sob stories' go - Jehmanes is a bit sad and I'm really glad he's got so far.

I want Jahmene to win

You’ve got the X-Factor!

I loved that you sang out of sync and out of tune, it was like a rapping dalek eating peanut butter! I love your energy! You remind me of a drugged Robbie Williams except you won't have a career. I was about to climax watching that, and I don't just mean sexually! Don't listen to sexy Dermot, he's just being sexy! You've got the entertainment factor so I want to SEND IT TO DEADLOCK

You’ve really got the gay factor!
I loved your performance! I loved it more when it ended. I love your energy! I haven't felt this way since the 1920's! You remind me of a brain dead Nicole Shertziner except you won't have a career. I got really emotional when I heard of your addiction to tic-tacs, but you didn't let that stop you from coming here tonight. Don't listen to the public vote, they're just jealous! I think people in the Isle of Wherever need to pick up the phone and vote!

You’ve got the X-Factor!
But I don't know if you have what it takes! I love your quirky, unstable personality! You remind me of a young Nicole Shertziner except with no vocal chords. It's so emotional that you're doing all this for your sisters milkmans cousins friend who has a skin rash! Don’t listen to Tulisa, she's a tacky bitch (love ya babes)! We NEED you in the competition because you are ratings gold, so PICK UP THE PHONE!

I'm also rooting for Jahmene Haven't taken to James as much as others have, not saying he can't sing but I didn't feel any connection.

As for the back stories, Jahmene has definitely had the most challenging life so far, a horrendous childhood that no child deserves to be a part of, and the loss of his brother in 2008. I was quite shocked by some of the comments on here when his story unfolded, it wasn't a sob story, it was a tragic story

But should he 'WIN' because he had a tragic story?....would he have got so far if he had been brought up in a happy family?...should the people without a tragic story not be in for a chance?.....

Is this a talent contest or a news story?

I certainly wasn't trying to make the point that he should win because of his "story" if that's how it's come across. How I feel about their stories is totally separate to how I feel about them as singers.  There have been comments on the thread when any of the contestants have had to talk about their life and general feeling is no one wants to hear about that but it's part of the format of the show whether we/viewers like it or not, there's other parts of the format I don't like so I turn the sound down.
