This is a woman who spent her whole life breaking 'the rules', who fought against conformity, who spent her life saying 'no.' She was there at the start of punk ffs. David doesn't seem her type at all.

Free publicity
Well clearly she did.
John Lydon was there at the birth of Punk, and now he advertises Country Life butter.
I thought it was a bit strange that he even liked her because she is an anarchist, and David has always said he would never break the rules in the BB house.
she's obviously pleased someone enjoys her fashions as much as david does, he's given her a lot of (free) publicity while he has been in there, she is just complimenting him

Well that's true. 'I buy country life butter, because I'm a great big sell out.'
The HM Vivienne Westwood is really interested in is Siavash
Obviously Vivienne is a very nice woman. With good taste as she likes our lard.
I suppose every fan counts, and a little publicity hurt no-one it seems.
Free advertising and publicity...worth a card to Doughnut Dave
I'm sure BB contacted her and let her know about David being a fan - and probably did out of her own volition write that card. I saw her on Jonathon Woss a few weeks back - she came across really well. Funny though - she clearly stated she doesn't watch television at all - i think she even said she doesn't even own a t.v.

I'm sure she did write that card although I doubt she's even heard of David.
As others have said, it's been free publicity for her buy I agree with perones, she is a naturally nice person so I believe once it was bought to her attention, she would have been happy to do it.

Shire, I could actually see her doing it TBH, I saw her on the john Ross show not long back and she seemed lovely, was going on about the enviromental issues as such.quote:Originally posted by shirehorse:

oh just said the same, she did seem really nice and came accross as quite caring didn't she?quote:Originally posted by Perones:

she did LGS ...i also doubt she needs 'free' publicity too...she's at the top of her game and falls into that 'national treasue' category i think.
I can easily accept that the producers would contact Vivienne Westwood and persuade her to write, or at least approve of a note to David.
But her latest "hobby-horse" is her "Active Resistance to Propaganda" campaign.
Some people think it is bunkum, I don`t really understand it, but she mentioned it in the note to David.
I suspect if she thinks a BB contestant might promote a bit of publicity, she may have backed the wrong horse here. I think David will be all at sea here. He regards her as a clothes designer and nothing else.

Kaytee - you are kind calling him a doughnut - he should see a speech therapist
As she is now Dame Vivienne Westwood, I think that she isn't too averse to the Establishment.
