you've got more in that photo - so it looks a bit greener - and the sky doesn't look so dull...

True. It couldn't get any greyer or wetter (could it?)
I changed the angle slightly because the shrub at the front is starting to sprout and is quite pretty in full bloom. The oak in the middle is dying but we're bringing it down bit by bit, branch by branch. Fingers X'd for another year.
I can't tell you of the junk and rubbish to the right and out of shot of this photo
I know..!
I was tempted to do a Jack Duckworth with some masking tape
Today the sun was out and I spotted an opportunity to capture both of our well regarded theatres in one shot.
Took a while before I got a shot without may pedestrians in view.
Where'd your bench go?
It's not in either photo that I've posted oh psychic one.
(Handy Dave's doing a make over on it)
EC, I know the Crucible, but save me a google - what's the other building (it's another beautiful one)

The other building is called The Lyceum, quite a few years ago they renovated it. I remember seeing a few 80's bands there before they returned it back into a theatre.

You're selling Sheffield very nicely, EC
The Crucible is an ugly building.

Thank you
It's a pretty good place to live. Although I do have a gripe about our council who seem intent on allowing all of our historic and notable architecture be demolished. The latest a row of shops which are all independent, they are putting up micro flats and fast food shops - madness.
Having said that, for a big city it's very village like.
On Saturday I went out for a meal at a "grill pit" type of place. Below are three pictures, a before, after and pudding shot.
Despite how it looks, the 'brisket three ways' was delicious and melted in the mouth. The chips are to die for and I added to it bar-b-q beans.
Looks delicious! I'm hungry now!
Ooooooo yummy EC

17/2/2015 The side that gets more sun's looking a bit less dead.
The Rosa Rugosa is the furthest on - and the purpurea is a bit ahead of the white.
