The mob "justice" and vigilantism the rags have whipped up means the woman needs police protection now...oh joy, then they can moan about tax money being wasted. All because people who pretend to hate thugs and thuggery want to give her a good kicking. Logic and reason nowhere to be found.
Christ Leccy, don't bring logic and reason into it

I think the Pakistan humanitarian crisis has been brought up in comparison because this thread hasn't (I think) fallen off the first page, whereas the one El Loro made about the DEC appeal had to be bumped back onto the front page several times.... I dunno mind, I didn't say it

I'm not screaming for the woman to face the death penalty, but I wont apologise for thinking and feeling the way I do about people like her and others who do things that (IMO) are bang out of feckin order with nada consideration for anyone but themselves. Way I see it, if you're gonna do things like that to someone else, then you deserve the same treatment back. We're all different and see things differently though I suppose *shrugs*

The problem to my mind is that lots of people do love their animals as one of their family and non animals lovers don't understand this.  There is so much animal cruelty which goes totally unpunished and people like her think they can just get away with stuff like this (and much worse).  I don't agree with the terrible things some have been saying, but I do think she should be 'punished' in some way and so should others who cause suffering to any animal.  I care just as much about child cruelty/cruelty to the elderly, etc., but it seems to me, that although everybody states that everybody is up in arms about this, they are just as much up in arms about well publicised cases of child cruelty, etc.  The only difference is that people who are cruel to children usually get a punishment.  People who are cruel to animals often don't.

Now barstewards that hurt Rabbits!......let me at them.

Sad to say we have reports up here of thugs maiming and killing poor buns.Cutting off their ears, skinning them alive. One reason my babies are house buns, despite having a large garden.

However ,much as I love them,I would never compare them to a human life...perspective..
