14 stones down - error from GB and Denmark now lie 1.

Last GB stone didn't quite work and leaves an apparent easy 2 for Denmark, but they go wrong too and only get 1 shot,
6-4 Denmark going into the 8th end - and GB have the hammer!

Hi Amythist - whoops, forgot about the skeleton! 
Denmark beginning to get a bit ragged - they've just sent a stone down and it's sailed through the house, missing everything! 
8th end:- GB lie 3 after 10 stones.
One stone each to go and GB lie 2
Denmark's last stone is too heavy and we have last stone for an easy 2.
Two ends to go and it's 6-6.
Denmark have the hammer for the 9th end.
2nd last GB stone and GB lie 1
2ndlast Denmark stone and both GB and Denmak stones go out, leaving Denmark only lying 1....and that's only just in!
Denmark's last stone hit their own guard stone and have gifted a one stone win to GB.
7-6 GB. However this means that Denmark have the hammer for the last end.

Last GB stone and GB insert it into the centre and lie 1 - with 4 Denmark stones around it,
Denmark send their last stone down and all it needs to do is take out the GB stone for the win - IT GOES SLIGHTLY WIDE OF MARK AND HARDLY TOUCHES THE GB STONE!
GB steal the last end by 1 stone and win the match 8-6
With 5 wins from 6 matches the GB men's team lie joint first in the round-robin section.

Curling:-
Didn't see it live, but women's match was tight: GB enter end 9 leading 7-6 and having the hammer, but Korea steal it by 2. 8-7 to Korea, but GB still have the hammer.
Last 2 stones to come and GB lying 2. Korea place their last stone into the middle - Korea lie 1
Last GB stone neatly removes the Korean stone and takes its place. 3 shots to GB and the match 10-8
Men's Curling:-
1st end - Canada have the hammer, but are pegged to 1 shot - 1-0 Canada
2nd end - GB have the hammer, but are also pegged to 1 shot - 1-1
3rd end - Canada have the hammer, but GB steal it by 1 shot - 2-1 GB
4th end - Canada still have the hammer....small error on the last GB stone....and Canada are gifted 3 shots - 4-2 Canada
5th end - GB have the hammer....it's a tight end....Canada's last stone doesn't quite achieve the desired result and a calm last delivery gives GB a two shot win - 4-4 going into the break.
End 6 - Canada have the hammer, but GB force the end to be burned - still 4-4
7th end - Canada still have the hammer....GB closing off Canada's options....Canada try to open up the house, but it doesn't really work. Canada send down a flyer - resulting in GB lying 1. GB's last stone puts them lying 2, but the houseis open. Canada's last stone takes out both the GB stones, but goes out as well. Canada only get 1 shot, - 5-4 Canada.
End 8 - GB have the hammer - 10 stones played, Canada lie 1....GB send down a flyer and clear all but 1 Canadian stone from the house....Canada's 2nd last and they now lie 2....GB 2nd last, not quite right and Canada still lying 2. Canada's last stone runs farther than they wanted, they now lie 3, but GB have an easy stone to take the end by 1 shot. 5-5
End 9 - Canada have the hammer - two stones played each and Canada lie 2. Canada send down a flyer to remove GB's guard stone, it's too heavy and removes their own stones and leaves GB sitting 2. Everyone knocking each other's stones out and after 6 stones each it's 1 to Canada. (I think both teams want to lose this end so they have the hammer for the last end) GB look like they're going to lose by 2 (they'd prefer it to be 1), but Canada make a mistake and only win by 1. 6-5 Canada.
10th end - GB have the hammer....Canada have just taken out their own stone! GB stone ran too far and finished on the back edge Canada's ran to join it. Oh no, something has deflected the GB stone! Things reasonably back on track now. 2nd last Canada stone bearly made it, but they lie 1. 2nd last GB stone taps the Canada stone out a bit and lies shot itself, but Canada stone still ahead of rest of the GB stones. Canada's last stone leaves them holding 2GB's last stone - good chance to lie 1, dicey chance for 2. It hits the first Canada stone ansends it out of the house....nudges the 2nd Canada stone back a bit....but travels a few milimetres too far and gives the win to Canada by 1 stone.
Canada win the match 7-5
More women's curling around 3pm. GB v Switzerland.
End 1: Switzerland have the hammer....4 stones to go and GB lie 2....2 stones to go and Switzerland lie 1....GB last stone and we lie1, but it went a bit far....Swiss last stone - it's too heavy! - knocks the GB one back a bit and removes their own! 1 shot to GB.
End 2: Switzerland still have the hammer....13 stones down and GB lie 1....14 stones and it's 2 to Switzerland....2nd last GB stone takes out one of their's and one Swiss stone leaving 1 to Switzerland....2nd last Swiss stone and it's 2 to the Swiss....last GB stone goes off a bit and its very close could be one either way....last Swtss stone takes out the GBstone and it's 2 to Switzerland.
2-1 Switzerland.
End 3: GB have the hammer....8 stones down and Switzerland lie 1, by a few millimetres! Switzerland send down a flyer, but it hasn't really changed anything....12 stones down and the Swiss lie 1 with 2 GB stones right behind and 2 Swiss a bit further back....2nd last GB stone opens the house a bit but leaves Switzerland lying 2 and their last isn't too good and leaves them lying only 1. GB's last stone has no effect and Switzerland steal 1 shot.
3-1 Switzerland.
End 4: GB still have the hammer....Swiss send a flyer to remove the GB guard and remove theit own guard as well! 4th GB stone goes too far. 6th Swiss stone clears most stones from the house, but leaves them lying 2. 6th from GB leaves GB 1. 7th Swiss stone clears away GB stone and 7th GB stone clears away Swiss stone. Last Swiss stone clears the house and last GB stone is sent through the house for a burned end and retention of the hammer.
3-1 Switzerland.
End 5: GB have the hammer....8 stones down and GB lie 1....10 stones down and GB lie 2....12 stones and GB still lie 2....2nd last Swiss stone takes out the lead GB stone and lies 1....2nd last GB stone removes Swiss stone and now lies1, but last Swiss stone changes places again and is removed by the last GB stone, but GB only win with 1 shot.
3-2 Switzerland.
End 6: Switzerland have the hammer....12 stones down and Switzeland lie 1, possibly 2, but they are hardly in the house at all! 14 stones now and the Swiss lie 3....last GB stone takes out 1 Swiss stone....their last stone sits in the house - a definite 2 and the third is being measured - it's deemed in and Switzerland win that end with 3.
6-2 Switzerland
End 7: GB have the hammer....8 shots down and GB lie 1 by a millimetre....now it's 1 to the Swiss....now 2 to the Swiss....still 2 to Switzerland....12 stones down, Swiss lie 1 with GB close behind....14 stones and 1 GB stone and 1 Swiss stone are so clse to each other it can't be determined who holds shot....1st and 3rd to GB or 1st and 4th to Switzerland! Last Swiss stone and they laid a second guard. Last GB stone and GB hit the Swiss guard which takes out the lead Swiss stone and gives GB the 2.
6-4 Switzerland
End 8: Switzerland have the hammer....8 stones played and GB lie 1....12 stones played and Switzerland only manage to take out all thei guard stones, GB still lie 2....1nd last Swiss stone takes out GB stones and now they lie 2....GBlast stone lies 1....last Swiss stone almost runs too far, but just stops a fraction inside the GB stone. 1 shot to Switzerland.
7-4 Switzerland
End 9: GB have the hammer....4 stones and Switzerland lie1....Switzerland keep clearing the guards and are still lying 1....now they#re lying 2....GB just sit the next in the cetre and GB lie 1....Switzerland knock it out of the way and lie 2 again....GB knock both Swiss stones out and lie 2 themselves....Swiss send down a flyer in the hope of taking out both GB stones - they only clear one and their own goes out as well - GB lie one and their last stone makes it a win with 2 shotts.
