Roller blinds in the kitchen and bathroom, vertical blinds and curtains everywhere else. 

WOW, just been discussing buying some of these (vertical blinds) for the kitchen with a friend. What a strange and small world!

Oh yes, I have curtains too.  Can't forget about those lol.  

I need a nice new pair of curtains for the living room.  It'll take me forever to decide on a pair though because when I know I have to look at something every day it means it has to be the perfect choice.

They are handy but I want to change mine to roller blinds in the kitchen to let more sunlight in.

 I know what you mean. I looked for ages for my livingroom curtains, but it was worth it and I love them.

Roman blinds at all windows apart from the patio doors where I have perfect fit blinds.

I had to google to see what roman blinds were .  They look nice, I love that they come in all different patterns and colours.

I have mine made at a local fabric warehouse, so you can pretty much choose any fabric you want.

Vertical blinds here.  Made to measure Luxaflex and all in really good working order

I'm really pleased with ours and I was just thinking we've had some for at least 6 years now and they're as new.  So really I'm just recommending the brand and the service.

If mine were hanging badly I'd rip 'em down too otherwise I'd be a raging mad woman every time I caught sight of them.

Blinds in sitting room with curtains. Voile panels in dining room with tie back curtains. Blinds in my bedroom (front) and blinds on top of stairs both with curtains. Net in back bedroom (not used) with curtains

One of the kitchen ones and the one at the top of the landing don't open full so they don't 'look' broke but the kitchen one barely opens at all.  I'll replace them all later this year once other things are done.  For now I'll just swear at them every time I try to open them.

wooden Venetian blinds with curtains tied back but I'm hoping to change to plantation shutters as I love plantation shutters but they're very expensive 

we're gonna order a jig and some parts from America and see if we can make our own

Upstairs just curtain, stairway+ landing roman blinds and living room and kitchen silver venetian blinds with curtains in living room too.

I'm thinking of changing the venetian 2 for wooden ones but i'm worried they will block too much light.

The wooden one's do make your room darker but I like them in the summer they block out the sun brilliantly 

i'm having to decide at the moment. We re decorated before Christmas - the room is totally neutral so the worlds my oyster when it comes to colour.

I have vertical blinds but they're drawn back as they were here before I moved in + look a bit old and tatty. And they're a bit office-like.

Soozy I haven't replaced them yet  My OH hates our new sofa so wants to get another new one and I kind of agree with him so the rest of the house is being updated first and by summer I hope to get a new sofa and because I don't exactly know what colour I'll get then I'll leave the curtains until that is here.

When we got rid of our leather recliners he kept saying 'never again, no more recliners' and now that we have a normal fabric sofa he hates everything about it and keeps asking when we're getting the recliners  I win!

Throw them in the washing machine.  I know you're not supposed to be I do mine all the time!  I put them in a pillow case and they come out pretty wrinkly but hang them while wet and they're grand in no time

I washed them and they got all frayed Ells. They're quite cheap material. Great tip about the pillow case  maaaan wish I'd thought of that 

Mine are white wood 50mm  with black band .

expensive but too cheap looking for the discerning buyer
