Andy Murray beat Gilles Simon 6-1  6-4  6-4. At no time did Simon come close to breaking Murray. Mint Murray.

Oh No! Not only do you miss the GP but also the England v Germany match which I reckon will start shortly after the GP finishes.

Me, I'll be watching the GP, then the football on TV, but keeping an ear out for the cricket on the radio so I get it all. It's just as well that we've have good weather at Wimbledon this week otherwise that really would have complicated matters (I suppose I could have done that via my PC but that starts getting a bit like David Bowie in The Man who fell to Earth).

As you say, the football programme starts before the end of the GP programme, but the football match kicks off at 3.00 and with the GP due to commence at 1.00, provided there are no holdups for accidents and the like the winner should cross the finishing line a bit after 2.30. Though whether the presentations etc will be over by 3.00 is less likely.

Federer has just had a very convincing and impressive win over Jurgen Melzer to get through to the quarter finals.

Fell asleep watching Serena's match.

The Murray match is just about to start, so guess which one I'm watching

I caught a bit of the Hewitt, now with the Murray one.

Djokovic is struggling. He has had treatment from the doctor.
(Hewitt's yellow-T-shirted cheerleaders get on my nerves.)

Watching Djokovic v Hewett ~ really want Murray to do well, but there is something about him I just cannot take to.  He is a really good tennis player and I don't believe the rubbish about the World Cup 4 years ago, but I find him hard to like and hard to watch, that is not saying that I do not want him to win Wimbledon because I do, just there's something stopping me liking him in the same way as I do Federer and Nadal.  Strangely though, I really like his brother Jamie and was cheering him and Laura Robson on the other night.

Hewett leading 5 ~ 3 in the third set.   Wish his "cheerleaders" would give it a rest occasionally.  I was also sad to see Jelena Jankovic have to retire during her match due to a back injury, but am pleased I managed to avoid the battle of the grunters ( Sharapova v Williams!)  Djokovic not moving well at all at the moment and looks to be losing the third set, and as I type this he has.

Many times I have thought that you'd never guess Andy and Jamie were brothers.

Exactly how I feel Brisket.    I'm spoiled for choice at the moment on the red button as I can chose between Hewett or Roddick as well as keep up to date with the Murray match.  Nadal is due on court later as well so I'm looking forward to seeing some of that match before Mr Pink grabs the remote and puts the World Cup on.

I wish the camera's could give it a rest panning in on them.

I'm flicking between Murray and Hewitt , thought the first set was in the bag for Murray.

After a narrow escape, Murray has just won the first set 7-5.

And has now won the second set 6-3.

However Murray's first serve is nowhere near as impressive (I think 42% accuracy level) which is 20% or so down from where it was during the first week.

Murray is through to the quarter finals having beaten Querrey 7-5  6-4  6-4

The only one still in the championship who hasn't lost a set,

And now we have a heroic natch between Roddick and Lu.

I think whoever wins that match is Murray's next opponent.

Loving this last set. 4 games all. Some great points.
