I can't stand the grunting either

I suppose they could use something like the snickometer in cricket. A warning could be given for the first time a grunt when over a certain level of decibels. Any subsequent occurence would result in the point being given to the other player. Each game in the match would start with a clean slate so not to be too harsh.

I like John Mcenroe's commentary style.
He keeps you updated on what's happening on other courts.

Couldn't stand him when he first appeared on the scene, but got to love the Mac.

James Blake (Queen`s finalist) knocked out.
That`s a shame; he is a nice fellow.
Federer won comfortably.

I agree stoory. I didn`t like his behaviour as a player but think he is extremely good as a commentator.

The Llodra-Goodall match was poorly televised.
The cameras were glued to Goodall (British), nearly all the close ups and all the change-overs were concentrated on him.
You would have thought there was only one person playing.
That is not balanced and is unfair.

....and they are doing the same today in the Evans-Davidenko match.
The BBC used to broadcast very belanced coverage, but it now seems we can expect any British player to get 85% of screen time.
I like to see it equally balanced, no matter who the players are.

Really enjoyed the Murray match.

Knew it wouldn't be a walk over, as I remember Kendrick playing Nadal last year.

The crowd seemed really reserved compared to when Henman played, and I think if they had been more vocal it would have lifted him.

I understand about the North South divide, but I had no problem supporting Tim when he played.

Hopefully support will improve.

Do you know what annoys me? it's a bit irrational I know, but when they win a point and they do the fist clenched thing, why do they have to change their racquet into their other hand?Why not just clench their other fist? Not that I'm greatly enamoured of them doing the fist clench thing at all!

Into a 5th set now. Looks like it could be a looong evening, hope you've all got plenty of food and drink to hand.
