The marathon match players - Mahut and Isner, from last year have unbelievably been drawn to face each other again in round one. I think Isner will win.

I would rather be watching Lleyton Hewitt's match, though.....Sue Barker says Pat Rafter is in the supporter's box for that one -lovely bloke he is, I saw him play his fourth round match on Centre Court 10 years ago, the year he made the final(can't believe it was a decade ago!!

Wooo Laura Robson just won her first round match!

I was sitting shouting at the TV.......at 4-1 to Laura in the third, her opponent Kerber took a medical time-out that looked like gamesmanship to me, either that or the trainer really can work miracles!!

I'm glad it didn't pay off and Laura kept her momentum. She has some great, powerful shots and at 17 years old, will become a great player the way she's going.

Katerina

She went from 4-1 to 4-3 after the time out, but recovered it well after that. Plays Sharapova next......not sure I can watch that tomorrow with all the shrieking that's bound to come from Sharapova.

I am off work tomorrow, I need to go out and get my hair cut, but will probably end up watching Wimbledon all day

It's a real shame I missed the Williams/Date-Krumm match, it looked like the best women's match for ages. I tend to watch the men's games mostly because the women's doesn't usually interest me much.

I heard an interview with her last week and she sounded more interested in fashion than in tennis - rather odd for a seeded competitor!

BBC Radio 5 signed her pre-tournament as a pundit/colour commentator so they won't mind her early demise!

Why has she drawn a moustache under her eyes?

Looks like she needs to concentrate more on her tennis, rather than her outfits! The women who design their own outfits(like the Williams sisters) often create some lovely dresses......but Bethanie went a bit too far here, like the women at Ascot who put mahooosive 'topical' hats on to get media exposure.

He was doing so well, wasn't he. The tennis was excellent.

Yes, it was a cracking match.  Sorry to see him go out and I hope he doesn't retire yet.  I really love to watch him and Roddick play.

Elena Baltacha currently 5 ~ 4 in opening set.  Good luck to her and Laura Robson who opens Court 1 today.

Good luck to Andy Murray as well, I try so hard to like him and just can't.  Can't explain what it is, he just totally leaves me cold, I would love to see him win Wimbledon, but I have a feeling that he will win the US Open first.

Baltacha just taken the first set.

Top seed Caroline Wozniacki reinforced her Wimbledon title credentials with a thumping 6-1 6-3 win over Virginie Razzano.

The Dane, who has yet to win a Grand Slam, needed 26 minutes to claim the first set, converting all three of her break-point opportunities.

And Wozniacki wrapped up the match 40 minutes later, making just one unforced error on Court Two.

She will play Australia's Jarmila Gajdosova in the third round.

Wozniacki has reached the fourth round at Wimbledon for the past two years, but has never made it to the quarter-finals.

With no other particularly dominant female player at the moment; this must surely be a great chance for Wozniacki to claim her first Grand Slam title?

Laura Robson is doing very well, torn because Sharapova is probably my favourite female player and besides her obvious talent she's hot which is a bonus

If Robson wins I hope the stupid press don't hype her up too much because like Murray that is why he hasn't ended up winning Wimbledon so far due to the pressure on their shoulders, as if they don't have enough already!.

*hopes that statement doesn't jinx him now*

It would be great, Katerina.  But my hopes aren't high.  The ones I want to win usually get knocked out in the earlier rounds

I like Federer and Nadal,  but it would be nice to see someone like Tsonga (or Gasquet) win for a change

Delighted Maria won, she struggled but managed to claw her way back. Laura R came so close and can be proud, has a bright future in the game ahead of her but Sharapova needs to improve for next month.

I don't really see any signs that she'll be a top top player to be honest. Certainly lightyears behind Sharapova when she was 17 (obviously).

If he was ranked higher he wouldn't have had to play Soderling in R2. I was watching at work and Hewitt was 2 sets up, then got home to find he'd lost 3 sets to 2. Gutting!

I saw the first 3 sets and he was acers. Two of the winners he hit while on the ground were jawdropping. I also love that the Aussies put up a really good show fanswise with the yellow t shirts and all the chants. For such a great sporting nation they deserve to have some better tennis players especially in the womens game

From what I saw of her the other day, she has the power behind her shots and the placement......certainly has big potential.

Heather Watson may do better in the future though, I was gutted for her when she got that elbow injury.

Yep, really. Will be for another 45 minutes or so, then it'll start to get noticibly dim. I've been known to stay out gardening 'til 10:45 before.
