I'm fed up with the press......I bet they print 'failure' headlines tomorrow. Murray is only 22, he WILL win a Grand Slam in the next 5 years.

Looking at it from an objective tennis fan's perspective, Roddick is in the best form of his career, Murray missed too many first serves, and Roddick interpreted the match a lot better. His groundstrokes were amazing!!
The best man won, and I can't wait to see if Roddick can disarm Federer on Sunday.

What is it you can't stand about them, Veggie? Eeker

They're fabulous, IMO - especially Venus.

Just don't like them Deegs, they are more like Amazons than women Big Grin

I just like the underdog a lot of the time and I am sick of those two winning everything.

Mind you, the opposition they face isn't very good, we could do with some better women coming through to make it more interesting

Aww I like Jamie though. Frowner

As for the mother, I really don't like her. I can't be doing with these domineering parents - the Williams father is another one too.
Puts me right off the players tbh

Well said Katerina Thumbs Up. Larry Stefanki's tactics were just right, Roddick executed them really well. There were hardly ANY unforced errors from him, it was a fantastic performance. Will be interesting to see how she shapes up against Federer on Sunday. I'll be rooting for Roddick! Smiler

I haven't seen much of Jamie actually so I won't comment on him - surely he must have a nicer personality than Andy though? Laugh

As for the mother - jeez even I'm scared of her Eeker

She was drawing him daggers all the way through the semis today.

I think the Williams sisters have been pushed all their lives too but they are lovely girls. Smiler

To give you lot your due, you did have me rattled a bit - if you look at the beginning of the thread, I did say I thought Murray stood a good chance of beating Roddick Hug

It is tradition that both players leave Centre Court together. Murray was most discourteous.

Nope, I'm sorry, but I'm a stickler for tradition especially where Wimbledon is concerned.

It is acceptable on the outside courts for players to leave separately but not on Centre or No. 1 Courts.

I was disgusted by it too Hyacinth.

I appreciate he was upset, embarassed maybe, but would it really have hurt for him to show a bit of courtesy to Roddick?
