I believe in captivity for breeding and keeping a species from going extinct. Not sure I would want every orangutan held in captivity

they couldn't possibly keep them...they would run out of space and money. More and more are being brought to the centre, I'm sure they must be at breaking point.

Considering they are solitary animals in the wild , they certainly socialise ok in the orphanage
