Latest on Loch Arkaig Ospreys :- Eldest chick (JJ6) flew of a couple of weeks ago and has now been spotted fishing in Somerset.
The mother and youngest chick (JJ7) were last seen on the nest a couple of days ago, but this doea=s not necessarily mean they have left the area, but they might have. JJ8 is still visiting the nest and getting the occasional fish brought in by the father, but she often flies off with it and eats it elsewhere, only visiting the nest to call for another fish. She, dad and fish were on the nest earlier today. I don't think she'll be around for much longer.......and it's possible dad might migrate before she does!
