I live near the hospital so hear loads of ambulances ....and see the odd helicopter

we're rural, and the amount of time it takes to get to a specialized unit is desperate

I do live (within reason) close to a hospital, but a lot of the services have been outsourced to Sunderland Hospital. Much more difficult to get to

Yes , some of our specialist services / operations are outsourced to Manchester ....but the main hospital still had a very good range of services ....and only a 5 minute walk ...or one minute car ride away
