Lapwings are also known as peewits. My dad calls them that - it’s the call they make.

By the way , I had a good look at the bees nest today .....they’ve definitely gone ....and there were some dead ones in the box .....one thing that surprised me was the nest seemed to be made of fluff and fur ....I was expecting honeycomb
