I do something I saw the mum do on The Waltons- I say loudly, “You’re welcome” and they invariably look embarrassed and mutter “Thank you”

We went out during the day but we got hassled with people wanting us to buy tat. TBF, they weren’t threatening, just very persistent and it became annoying.
We didn’t go out of the hotel complex at night and found it off putting that the hotel security all carried guns.

wow yes about the guns - my sister went just after they were married so ages ago - things will have changed I would think
