what happened now?

With due respect, how would you decide who is chaff?  Based on what someone else whispers in your ear?  IMHO, that is the cause of most of the trouble on here, from ALL sides.  People basing their like or dislike of FMs on who their buddies like or dislike.

There has been a lot of rubbish going on in the past week.  People being insulted, called all sorts of names, called fantasists, having threads and blogs started about them, multiple IDs, etc., etc., etc.  From ALL sides. 

It's really time for it all to stop.  The only way it will stop, is to not get involved with it.  If you see someone trying to stir, don't rise to the bait.  Report it and move along.

ermm, good post suzi, but how would you know or guess that the weird id's this week were fom all sides?

I may not be the sharpest tool in the box, but it's not difficult to notice names and IDs that only show up in the middle of a fray.  Or when a new member shows up with the exact posting style of someone who is banned.

i agree with your perception there suzi, but it doesn't explain  the 'all sides' comment, i saw  dup id's aimed at specific people on gaga,,it appeared to be some kind of gang mentality by a few like minded people to me.

I think it was just one person with many IDs writing those blogs.  I could be wrong though.  When I am wrong, I will hold my hand up and admit it.  

I just find it a shame that those of us who enjoy posting here, enjoying having a discussion, and enjoy having a laugh are being lumped into "gangs" because they might have a buddy that has a buddy that has a buddy that has a buddy that is spending his time stirring.

i get what you mean suzi, about 'gangs' on here,and it is a shame so if it was just one person  that got all those names and  wrote those blogs, then it's not really 'all sides ' doing it , is it?

Well, yes it is.  When threads are started to goad, when "new" members arrive in threads to "back up", when it's all right for some people to have multiple IDs but not all right for others.

oh right, i haven't seen any threads like that recently, i was talking about the silly id's and their blogs.so i've misunderstood you, sorry.

There is a huge difference between a poster coming back with a new ID after being banned and the filthy vile ID's that have appeared in the last week. That's not stirring.....that's in need of medical help.

I agree, Cagney.  However, if those vile blogs are ignored and not posted in, they dry up and fade away.  Or are eventually removed.

Some of the multiple IDs are used to post comments that the FM doesn't want to appear under their more recognisable ID though.  IMO, although not as vile, is still questionable.

I think most have been deleted now Saz but it was aimed at one group of people. It was vile.

FMs were subjected to a torrent of vile dross by at least one OP hiding behind various supposedly funny IDs. Those FMs who replied...did so under their own names after having been insulted by the blog poster , or being offended by him. Surely they are allowed to do so?

Of course they are.  What I am saying, by responding to him only gave him more fuel.  Aren't we constantly being told to not feed the trolls?  If no one had responded, it probably wouldn't have gone on as far as it did or for as long as it did.

In other words, he got exactly what he wanted.

I don't use blogs so I'm totally lost by all this.

  I agree that posting in those blogs gave the OP the oxygen of publicity Suzi....but sometimes people find it difficult to sit on their hands in the face of such nasty personal attacks.

I know, Kaytee, and it happens in threads on here too.  I know I have said things that I probably shouldn't, but have gotten caught up in the heat of the moment - as it were.

Same here, I haven't a notion whats going on. I genuinely haven't seen anything offfensive and really wouldn't recognize forum members with multiple ids.
