Thing is..I'd find all the nasty sneaky antics entertaining.
What put me offf Bea is the use of tears to manipulate. Its such a cheap female stereotype gesture..but worse still..its fecking boring

Disagree. I think she should go for her health and so the public can give her a piece of their mind.
Amen to her departure this Friday..seen more than enough of this obnoxious girl. That said, I'm none too keen on David either, but he can be dispatched with (and doubtlessly will be) in due course..
Well let's get rid of the tedious drivel first that no one will notice.

But Bea brings drama and "watchability" to the show. Do you honestly want to see David and Lisa smoke for a fortnight.
She is making it practically unwatchable for me now I'm sick of listening to her shrill voice bitching and whining and moaning on and on and on about everything
Marcus out then bea David should stay, soft sweet nice lad
David doesn't even have the merit of being an innocent, well-meaning oaf.
Don't forget he was the one that suggested nicking Freddie's tea from his bed and only showed any remorse when BB hauled him into the diary room and asked him to consider his actions.
Now he might be very very very thick, but he isn't stupid and he understood that BB's reprimand would be transmitted to the BB viewers and that he would be seen in a bad light. His immediate reaction to the reprimand and his reluctance to discuss what had happened seemed to have more to do with the damage done to his chances than a guilty conscience.

But at least she speaks intelligently and shows how rich and artistic the English language can be.

I am glad we are in agreement
doubt bea, if she stayed ,would nom anyone else but dave and lisa, they've pissed her off far more than marcus or siavash.quote:Originally posted by erinp:If David stays he will nom Bea,as will Lisa.If Bea stays SHE will go after Marcus because he nomed her this week ,and Siavash because he is not interested in Bea ,and Bea hates it.quote:Originally posted by kattymieoww:
Yep, Flossie I stated this the other day, much as I loathe Bea.David would be a better target.David stays, then Lisa and her cronies will block vote for Siavash and Marcus.
Every year it's the same thing...
Keep this odious housemate in, because at least he/she/it is entertaining.
Some people have some very strange ideas of what constitutes entertainment.
But whatever floats your boat I guess...
It's all futile of course, she's as doomed as that famous Norwegian Blue...

Dave out.
Keep Bea in.
Keep Bea in.

She is brilliant entertainment though. And I am sad she is up, because I am now compelled to vote her out on the basis she is evil. Sigh
i think your bias is showing.quote:Originally posted by DanceSettee:quote:Originally posted by Flossie:

Neither David OR Bea will win though Flossie and on that basis, despite her bringing drama and intrigue to the house (which she certainly does), people quite rightly can't wait to see HMs who are manipulating, arrogant and nasty get their comeuppance. That's the reason I would like to see Bea being shown the door tonight.

I don't think so, she was shown to be consistently making friendly overtures to David and it was his reaction, despite not being bothered, that was the cause of any aggression and nastiness. He demonstrated yet again just how thick he is and his complete confusion with the world and his willingness to get in a tantrum.
Now she did discuss the incident several times, but then there is little else to talk about in the house and if someone like Lisa had heard it the witterings on the subject would have been constant. Many of Bea's comments were generated by David's behaviour and she is entitled to discuss the incident and him, particularly as she was the focus of his "not bothered" ire.

Just because David is 'thick' as you put it, doesn't make him a bad person. Bea on the other hand, is rotten to the core, and as fake as a fake thing from fakesville!
I don't like Bea at all... I think she has many issues and projects her stuff onto others... BUT I also think for the sake of the show, David should go... I don't find her entertaining, but she is capable of stirring things up and others reactions are interesting to see if nothing else... David is slightly oafish and numpty-like, no badness in him as such.. but man o man I can't bear the thought of him droning on and on ad-nauseum (sp) for the next two weeks!! bea can go next week!

Speaks intelligently? Oh yes, she knows a few more words than Lisa and David but so what?
I suppose i'm used to intelligent people anyway so I just view her as a fake bitch. I'm not going to dumb myself down and think well she's more intelligent than some in BB so she must be the best of a dull bunch (bar Marcus and Siavash). No way. Unless you do something useful with supposed "intelligence" it is all null and void anyway. Her use of the English language, oh please. I feel queasy.I can't believe you are saying that she shows how "Rich and artistic" the english language can be. Oh my oh my. I have heard that phrase so many times now it has become predictable to say the least. Whatever language she uses is completely overshadowed by her revolting character.

Can you really not see that her "friendly overtures" are not genuine? I despair.
This is exactly what Bea is good at.
Her pattern of argument is to completely floor the opponent by making them feel undermined and paranoid. They start to question themselves because Bea will turn on the unhappy face and soften her voice and turn into a victim. She will excuse her actions and pretend that she did them with the very best intentions.
People will make a judgement of her and then she will make them feel as though they are in the wrong because she is nothing like they perceived. But yet, she is exactly as they perceived and should stick to their original view. She brings anger out in people because of her actions and then swiftly skips out to the side and acts hurt when she sees what she has created.
When she sees the results of her manipulative game play she smirks and looks smug. Eugh yuk. Get her out.
I agree that at a deep level she does not want to be long term friends with David, but I think her offer of being "friends" in the house is genuine. She has voluntarily associated herself with David on a number of occasions, and that seems to be the result of some sort of genuine attempt on her part and not just a piece of intrigue and manipulation which would be pointless as she is fighting an eviction battle and not trying to avoid nominations. Endearing herself to David would not improve her chances of remaining, so there have to be other reasons.
if we ddin't have catalyst type people in the house, everyone could hide. like charlie is doing.
the point of bea/ marcus/makosi/rex is that they open up the facades.

Very good post. Pretty much agree with you.
The voting BB public in my opinion are not very smart, usually ending up with boring HM's at the end and as with Rachael a boring HM winning (something which BBBM made a point of).

I agree with you Floss and said the other day i would be voting Dave off this week.
I like Bea's banter with Marcus, but that about it. Daves' just a nicer person and at the end of the day I always pick a nicer 'small' characterover a 'big' nasty one!

That's a good way of putting it. Bea has tried a little too hard all too late to save herself; but ultimately has shown herself to be a pretty wretched person during her stay in the house.
David is hardly a trend setter for entertainment himself, but he scores far above Bea on the public perception radar in terms of the Brownie points (lack of votes) needed to assure him another brief stay in the house at least.

She did that for the benefit of the public and it has obviously worked its "charm" on some.
