"I was at Glastonbury when Jacko died. That's not a factual statement, but a T-shirt slogan. The day after his death, souvenir tops with "I was at Glasto 09 when Jacko died" printed on them were already on sale around the site. In fact, when Jacko died, I was at home playing Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on a Nintendo DSi. I am 38 years old."

I don't think Michael Jackson ever had the press in his pocket. They seemed to have done their best to make his life a misery. Even now there are pictures of him on a stretcher all over the net, despite Jermaine's request for privacy *shrugs*

Trust me! They have the media in their pocket, and they are working it a treat.
The families focus seem to be lasering in on "who's to blame and who can we sue". Thus the early focus on the doctor and now the insinuation that the promoters were responsible by demanding too much from him. So unlike his loving family.

He is now public property number one for sometime to come.....

Now that dad of his, can be a manager again all over Glance

Well and truly over the top.

Oh yeah I remember that, my friends daughter then 6 years old was in floods of tears over it every time it was on the news or a Take That song came on the radio. They reform - and she cant stand them!

Darwin would have wanted you to do the right thing. Evolution needs a bit of a helping hand occasionally.

I'm sure that that Oliver (someone psychologist bloke) who wrote a lot in the media after Diana died had a good phrase as well.

Can't remember what it was though Disappointed

That's him Joe, thanks.

I'm sure he went on one about mass hysteria and the oneupmanship of grief - but I could be getting him mixed up with another talking head

Good point! I'm 'blatantly unintereted bordering on disrespect' - I couldn't stand him when he was alive; I'm certainly not going to pretend to like, or respect him now that he's dead.
