Big Brother may want him to win to prove how far a housemate can go if they use scare tactics, and intimidation, not forgetting being confrontational and argumentative.

Buggered if I know. I'm done with this show for now (still love the forum) and will have considered opinions as and when I chose to watch any BB related stuff. Will still spout nonsense though, I feel it is my right and my privilege to do so hahahahaha

I  watch the HLs now but really it is habit as I am finding the whole JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ thig nauseatingf.

No idea tbh....I can't find one redeeming quality in him,he's extremely angry,extremely argumentative,extremely hypocritical,extremely nasty and what crowns it all extremely suspicious even of his own mother when he records conversations with her....I could go on but that will do for now.

I did like him and defended him on here I think it was mainly because the forum was so bias with Ben if I am being honest,I have changed my mind about him as he really annoys me and dont like this duvet thing with him and Josie and the way he keeps on about Corin,none of them are are real winners in the house IMO whoever wins will be the best out of a bad bunch one of the worst BB ever for me bring on the All Stars Ashaleeeeeeen

I always support the HMs that cause the most contraversy, because they are the ones that provide the forum with talking points. I don't like wallpaper slipping under the radar to the final and winning by default.
To that end, my finalists would be JJ, Josie, Corin...and god knows, because they have been the best value FMs to me this lousy series.

I don't want JJ to win, I'd like to see Corin do it, but I certainly don't want to see the likes of Dave, Steve,Jo, JJ2 or Mario in the final

At this stage I hate them all and think Steve should get the money for his new legs, he's as deserving as any of the others. Bunch of creeps the lot of them.

Thanks Kaytee - I know what you mean about causing controversy and thus making the programme interesting - but I remember Derek and Victor and HMs like that.
They were great - without all this constant nastiness and backbiting.

I will go with that Kaytee they are the only ones who seem to get mentioned the most on the forum without them who would we  talk about, dosent mean we  have to like or dislike them

There have been SO many threads debating him over the weeks...I'm finding myself tuning out whenever he's mentioned now.   You could probably give me a forum member's name and I could tell you exactly what it is they like/hate about him.  What more is there to say?

I find it hard to put into words why I like anyone ...... I don't write lists of why I like my friends, (it's not something normal people do surely? ) so I don't really see the point in doing it for someone I'm never going to meet. I'm a bit lazy like that.  

Suffice it to say....there are things I like about him, there are things I don't like, but on a whole I have enjoyed watching him more than any other HM, therefore he's my winner.

Not much different to how anyone chooses a winner I suspect?

I don't want to slag anyone off for liking him... you are right, we are all entitled to like who we like.
I am just trying to see why.
It is interesting that you enjoy watching him - he has ruined the whole series for me.
I suppose when we really don't like someone and it seems to be a consensus, then there is a curiosity as to why anyone could like them.

ok... there is more to it.

First of all take into account that I don't see some of the negative stuff in the same light as those that dislike him... I never have.   The whole bullying Sunshine thing...  I never saw it like that... the injury thing was an accident, and she had a humongous crush on him..  his dislike of the first Rachel was a reaction to the way he felt she was treating Sunshine.... and it was about then that he first started to stand out from the rest for me.

He is unpredictable, he never reacts the way I expect him to...   he makes me laugh, he interests me.   He has many layers... and just when I think I have him sussed... something else comes to light.

Today I am liking him more than ever...   he stood true to his convictions during the nasty nominations...     then when afterwards he wanted to give Josie grief over her nominations....  she fronted him in on it, and laughing he admitted he wanted to have a pop at her... but he also said he knew he had no right to do so...    I am like that...   I acknowledge when my emotions are unreasonable...

even when he was a grumpy monkey last week....   he made me laugh.    I was killing myself laughing when he was locked in that room with Rachel..

I've felt the same about HM's in the past Isadora, but I just go with the flow and thank god it seems that everyone is liked by someone.

BB should give people the confidence to stop worrying what people think of them, there will ALWAYS be someone who hates you and ALWAYS be someone who likes you, no matter what. This forum is proof of that!

I've seen a couple of things on here regarding Dave (who I dislike btw).....and I'm thinking, are we watching the same program here???? In my eyes he was clearing joking but so many have taken what he said seriously.

Now it's not for me to say who is right and who is wrong (and to be honest...who cares?), it's just another example of how people interpret things differently. And it's what I've been trying to say for weeks! I don't like a nasty person.....I just don't agree that he's nasty.

its not just that he is attractive...   Dale was visually attractive, or should have been, but his dire personality made him a total turn off to lots of people (me included).

Assume that what I type has had IMO put after every sentence...  

John James is interesting... I find him unpredictable, and he certainly doesn't follow the usual trends (personality wise) for a lad his age, and with his looks.  His emotions show on his face like a small child... and to many of us that is endearing. 

He doesn't think he is the finished product...   he is self critical.   He is funny...  his smile & laugh are infectious...    and to us that don't hate him... he is totally being himself.  he's like a big puppy dog...  when he's upset you wanna console him, when he's funny you wanna laugh with him... etc

He has that twinkle in his eye too...   that is not a "well fit" comment...  its a spark thats there... I dunno how to describe it...   some people have it, ...  I suppose charismatic might be the word for it. 

And... he has entertained me this BB... far more than any other housemate

I am more than aware that there are tons of people on here that do not feel like this about him..   but I do, and so do some of the others that like him that I have spoken to.

I commend you all for seeing beyond JJ1's moods/anger/general bad feeling....I wish you all the best, but he has made it almost unbearable for me to watch this series with 'my' interpretation of his hypocrisy. I can't bare the Mad Monk either, but at least I had some inkling of his lunacy from the off. I'm sure we'll all be mates on the forum even when the winner (John James) is cutting the ribbon for the next Lidl opening
