They do it on Big Brother and someone has been doing it on this forum. If you've slipped up and made an ass of yourself it's there for all to see, the apology is a waste of time, especially if the person you are apologising to has gathered the necessary information from your behaviour to make any decision they need to make ie that you are a fool!!

Or bereaved, stressed and drunk.
I think you've only got half a story.
To understand is to forgive

eh???
4 year old do that!
Think they can behave how they want and that saying sorry makes it all ok.

Thing is, with the interwebs, you post and are judged on what you post at any particular time.
On the internet we have no preconceptions of posts, you either take or leave, and it really depends on whether you know and like the poster.
Ie, it's all a load of old bollocks really and if you post in an aggressive way, you should expect aggressive replies. No one can see inside you brain or heart on the internet!

Sorry, thought you were on about the recently locked thread?
If you are, the guy's having a hard time and he said sorry.
If you're not, ignore me
Well I'm talking about the forum and on BB. Freddy and Siavash and Marcus were nobs then thought a 'sorry' would suffice for losing the grub for all the housemates.
As for on the forum, nah I can't be assed with it there either, and no I don't follow who has what going on, in their life so I am unaware at any time if someone is drunk or whatever. How the devil am I supposed to know that?

Yes I am on about the recently locked thread but I just re read it and gather I should have taken in all about the private life of the FM, no it was the bit addressed to me that I read, so no I don't take it all in nor am I obliged to.

nope sorry I don't read every single post, not unless it's funny and that wasn't.
except I'm not sorry !!
I did a thread for folk to say sorry.... It was a great success ... but not with people saying sorry
But some people really ARE sorry when they say it.
Sorry seems to be the hardest word
I think it takes guts to appologise in certain situations, depends on the when, where and why I suppose.
Gawd this is an old one.... " />
I don't think just blurting "sorry" as a reflex action to avoid being criticised deserves any credit at all. The OH is always trying that
But I believe if someone offers a sincere apology, from the heart, it ought to be accepted.

Sorry....is very easy to say, but hard to actually mean
Nothing worse than waiting for an apology that never comes.

Sorry is just a word.Being sorry's a different thing and can only be proved by the apologists own deeds.

OMG the original author has amnesia!!
Saying sorry has to come from the heart and has to be meant, unless there is bribes involved.
