I decided that it would be invidious to continue calling him Halfwit when he had the chance to claim his name back but instead allowed the utterly ungrateful Noirin to reclaim her face.
To be consistent I no longer refer to Sophie as Dogface.
Therefore I have made a choice which is independent of any decisions that BB does or doesn't make.

Clapping I always call him Freddie and 'dogface' Sophie.

Wonder why KIB didn't ask why people call Dogface 'Sophie?' Ninja

That is true, It's Dogface and Halfwit, not Sophie and Freddie.

For the same reason I call Sophie "Sophie" and not "Dogface". I think it was a stupid joke by BB which is long past it's sell-by date.

Unlike many, I don't doubt the legality of BB's name changes, but I don't see why we have to use a person's "official" name. I've known many people who were generally not known by their "proper" names. For example, both my mother and her brother were never referred-to by friends and family using their proper birth-certificate names.

A quick question to the OP: do you insist on calling Prince Charles's second son "Prince Henry"? After all, that's his legal name; not "Harry"...

No, I have a much stronger name for that lot of scroungers.

If people want to call him Freddie, then that is entirely up to them; they don't have to explain themselves to anyone. As someone has already said, MANY people in life don't go by their given name or official name. And the halfwit thing is WAAAAAY past it's sell date anyway, and just sounds stupid. So I shall call him Freddie. Like it or lump it Nod
