and spoil his party? He must have known they were all wondering where he was and that it would put a dampner on the birthday celebrations. Felt really bad for Dave with his cake, when he said to take it inside the house and wait for Siavash to come out of the diary room NOT FAIR!!

Thinking of others is alien to him at the moment.
He is so wrapped up in his game plan he has forgotten about everyone else.

Awwww show some sympathy LMS. He had a bad throat and was worried about his interview. No one wanted to leave with him so he had to try and decide whether or not to go on his own. Poor, poor little old Vashie.
Because Siavash only ever thinks of Siavash.

I didn't think he stole the limelight.
He seemed genuine to me. And if he was bluffing, and BB could see that, BB could have called it his bluff and agreed to have him leave.

If he didn't want the focus on him why didn't he go to the DR after the party. Plus he had all day. It was a very selfish act on his part, imo.
I had to put my fingers in my ears when he was whining in the Diary Room - Showtime indeed!
It was his way of getting more HLS for tonight it was very selfish, goodness knows how long he was in that diaryroom talking waffle when he finally came out they were all in bed.
I think what is more unfair is the fact that David is in the house at all in the final week. He has taken the place of someone who deserves to be in the house more, the likes of Freddie or Marcus. David is in there by default, by reason of unfair block nominations, by reason of aligning himself with Lisa.
I have absolutely no sympathy for David and his party whatsoever. He should have been at home with his relatives celebrating his party, and not boring the arse off us, in his loudest possible voice, in the house in the final week.

LMS...i have ranted about this on other threads, i nearly put my foot thru the telly!! He just had to have DR airtime didnt he, and saying goodbye to the house when he knows you dont go immediatly anyway, not that he wanted to.Poor David sat for ages to have the candles lit, and when Siavash did come out he didnt even have the manners to apologise to David
If he really wanted to steal it he could have said he was leaving. Not saying anything at all had them waiting to light the cake they hardly seemed that bothered and charlies little face lit up at the thought that he might have gone.
David should have rolled the cake up in a few rizlas and smoked it....that'd shown them.

Yes, if it was really all his inner turmoil, he could have kept it 'inner turmoil' instead of dramatically saying goodbye and wandering through the garden saying (to the cameras) "OK, let's do this. OK, it's time" It's not flippin' armageddon - it's a gameshow. Twat.

someone who has not been voted off the show surely deserves to be in the final over some who has.

Hardly fair when the block vote put much more popular HMs up against each other. Leaving brainless insipid housemates in the final.quote:Originally posted by RZB:quote:. He has taken the place of someone who deserves to be in the house more, the likes of Freddie or Marcus

He has earned his place like everyone else, perhaps had Siavash not meddled with the nomination process last week, David wouldve been up against Siavash and Marcus? Siavash miscalculated the votes, then tried to look the nice guy not putting him up, thinking he already wasquote:Originally posted by Twee Surgeon:

But why were Marcus and Freddie individually voted off? They were nominated by unfair block nominations, engineered by Lisa. David was the late-comer lapdog who just went along with the Lisa Plan. Hence his unfair presence in the house today.

That really upset me that..Birthdays should be cherished, each and everyone of them, seeing David blow his candles out in the bedroom was so sad....
Er no he wouldnt we had all this last week there werent enough votes for David to ever be up. Yes he got one hm wrong but he still knew that it was going to be the same block win again.quote:Originally posted by Skylark24:He has earned his place like everyone else, perhaps had Siavash not meddled with the nomination process last week, David wouldve been up against Siavash and Marcus? votes were
Charlie - Siavash Marcus
David - Siavash Marcus
Rodrigo - Siavash Marcus
Sophie - David Marcus
Lisa - Siavash Marcus
Marcus - David Sophie
So Siavash = 4
Marcus = 5
David = 2
Sophie = 1
A siavash nom is pissing in the wind and he knew it.

Due to the fact he had enough support to scrape through the vote to save, he weren't obviously going to go the week he was up with the awful Bea , against any of the others he would have been toast.
Davids not brainless. He just is not as well informed as others when it comes to his vocabulary etc. He doesnt seem to have a bad bone in his body. The only time he really has a go at someone is if they have started on him first.I think he is being completely genuine in there and is a bit too soft for some peoples liking. Shame he was not in there from day one. He is a lot nicer than a lot that have been in the house. And he has given me 2 of the biggest laughs in there, with the Alien task and the Beyonce taskquote:Originally posted by CaptVimes:Hardly fair when the block vote put much more popular HMs up against each other. It depends how you interpret the word 'earned' skylark. It usually means a reward for a job well done. If you think that David has earned his right for a job well done, to be in the BB house in the final week, then who am I to argue with you? We obviously differ on our respective interpretations but, hey, that's ok. Vive la difference.

Agreed 100%.
David is ok but not a winner, IMO. And yes, if he had been up against anyone else, even Freddie and Marcus, David would have left ages ago.
He's just been lucky. Simples. lol
Because he's a self absorbed wanker.

ultimately it's the public who decide, Marcus was chosen over Freddie, then Siavash was chosen over Marcus,
One could argue why was Kriss evicted, when he didn't actually get nominations to be up , but I won't.
It's all part of the game BB.

I didnt say he was nasty though he did show it a bit when he joined in with 4 of them having a go at siavash the kind of behaviour which when done to him reduced him to tears. Jumping up and down in front of Siavash shouting BB tells me to jump I say how high.
Come on though there is little in the noddle department even he admits that. Hes done alright out of it he is one of the best of the dumb and dumbers left but thats about it. He is insipid though .
Wish BB had given him a new VW outfit for his birfy with the card but i dont think their budget stretched to that this year.

If he really believed that and wanted David up with him and Marcus (as he said he did) he would have nominated wouldnt he all the other HMs said how they were going to nom and didnt lie. Would have been futile though as we can clearly see but he didnt fall for it.

At no time have I ever implied that David was less than blessed in the brain department. He, by his own admission, says he is not academically gifted and I would agree with that. But David is clever in another way, a cute way, a cunning way. Obviously, having an Oxford Degree is not the be-all and end-all of making the final of BB. It is of absolutely no use whatsoever unless you have that native cunning that enables you to slip under the radar and sit on the sofas on the final night.
The only thing that David has left me with is the ability to reach my remote a bit quicker than normal, in order to protect my ears. He has not made me laugh once in six weeks, just damaged my hearing slightly whilst he is in full tilt.
Oxford degree! Its not university challenge. The ability to string a sentence together and basic general knowledge an 8 year old would know I would settle for. One or two I can stomach but the final is full of them this year.quote:Originally posted by Twee Surgeon:quote:Originally posted by Little Miss Spurs:Davids not brainless. I agree.
Stealing the limelight would have been gathering everyone together and making a big announcement, then not leaving!
Siavash was in the Diary Room for ages, I don't think he feels part of the group and is somewhat isolated by BB in that he's not allowed to wear his own clothes as well.
I don't think he expected the others to wait for him at all.

hi CV. I was trying to highlight how worthless an academic achievement like an Oxford Degree can be when faced with non-academic cunning. It is no contest. I agree with you, there is a sad lack of education in the BB house this year. Some have difficulty reading the instructions sheets for the tasks, and I exclude Rodrigo and Siavash from that list as English is not their first language. BB shows have always throw up this factor though, and we always gasp at the lack of just general knowledge in some of them. But if it's not about Jordan and Pete or Girls Aloud, it's of no interest to them.
btw, I only get about 2-3 questions right on University Challenge each week
