Because they come across as very vain or wannabe wags. Nobody really likes that.
don't women always give other women a hard time though? and forgive blokes almost everything. maybe the majority of viewers and audience are women
so the VTs should be nice and sweet and innocent, how would that get them noticed?

I think all the really obnoxious contestants get booed. It just happens that it is often the women who appear to be the most unpleasant and vain when they first go into the house. But Kriss and Siavash also got quite a lot of boos last night as well. Isn't it a case that most people loathe very conceited people who have an over inflated opinion of themselves, and would like to see them brought down to earth a bit?
Little Sophia didn't get booed - probably because she didn't stop and pose in front of every camera she saw. Some of the men got booed too.
I feel sorry for them when they get booed getting out the car because they have no idea which bit of their VT or interview has just been shown. I am certain many of them say stuff to gain the attention of the producers.

I don't think they should get booed as they go in and always find myself thinking why are they booing. VT's are always going to be outragous that's how they get in to the house...even when they have nice VT's they get booed.

hmm, didnt take long for the `jealousy thing` to rear its ugly head... i am a girl & i liked all the girls except karly & the single mum one who came accross as arrogant & up their own asses. oh & for the record I thought Dale last year was a plank even though he was supposedly good looking
Over the years I've noticed most housemates have been booed on the way in. All of the girls got booed (apart from Sophia) last night, but didn't most of the boys too?

don't know if it's jealousy, i very much doubt it. i've noticed women are just more critical of other women, in general, than blokes are of other blokes.

some of them did, yes.but generally female housemates get a worse reception and are often the first voted out, there has only been two female winners in 9 years of bb,3 if you include nadia, i'm just saying that it is a majority female audience, and i have found that women tend to be more critical of other women than they are of fellas, blokes , in my opinion are not so critical of other blokes.
