Then after a while I thought I was being really silly but even after all these years of being on here it still gets to me at times.

I would tell you to ignore them but I'd be a hypocrite.

I find that there are lots of cliques on here of which I don't 'belong' not that I want to but I do feel ignored quite often and I lost quite a few ' forum friends' when the forum moved house Frowner

I'm a thread killer too...

*watches tumbleweed roll through this thread now I've posted* Ninja

Keep smiling though Big Grin

Aww Lazybug Hug

I think everyone feels like they aren't in a 'group' at some point but you should just jump right in , most people are ridiculously friendly and will welcome you Big Grin

Feel free to chat to me anytime - thats probably more of a curse than a blessing though Skull Big Grin

Yes I know, but that's the good thing about this place. It has people from all different walks of life with varying views and opinions. It would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same with all the same points of view. I don't pretend to know half of what is discussed, especially in respect of politics, but everyone's opinion is important or should be. Never, think that your opinion is not important - it is Hug

There's nothing really to forgive. I was wrong/naughty for trashing that Jade thread but this is ultimately a misunderstanding. And I should have responded better to your nice post than just a bluff joke. I just don't do sympathy very well. Northern bloke thing, probably. In fact, here's a bit of self-disclosure: I don't go to funerals because I can't handle people coming up and offering condolences and looking uncomfortable. That's how bad I am. That's really weird, isn't it? Smiler

Not at all - I don’t think anyone feels comfortable with that stuff.
For me it’s sympathy from people who neither knows me or my loved ones in any significant way which feels awkward, they’re only offering condolences because it’s the done thing - the bereavement hasn’t affected their life in the slightest, it’s just a fleeting sentiment (albeit well meant).
When it’s coming from someone I know and love it’s entirely different, it actually means something in that instance.

Do I expect too much from a forum?

dont worry about anything enjoy being on here,
take a leaf out of my book if someone tries to upset me i share the love Hug

Now to the real reason I'm here, someone mentioned Patrick Stewart, swoon. Where did they see him, what was he like did they hear him speak, god that man is gorgeous. Blush

I saw Patrick Stewart in John lewis a few months back.

Hw did I spot him...a starry sales assistant started talking to me for no reason and told me.

I saw him on stage at the Theatre Royal yesterday in Waiting for Godot. Both he and Ian McKellan were excellent. As you say, great voice. Smiler

I come here to chill out, have a mindless gossip and take my mind off RL.

I have to say since BBGF closed and I came here... I have "spoken" to so many lovely people that I never spoke to over there at all (specially my funny pic posting ladies Cool ) I am really pleased I joined. Valentine

As for the bad bits...like RL they come and go and it's perfectly normal to feel hurt and pissed off here sometimes....imo....but it's then when you need to take a break and go watch some shite box sets or read a trashy book!!

I agree ... i just post away in my own little world, if someone reacts to it negatively i just leave and find someone nice, like these guys in here, to chit chat with Valentine Valentine

I just saw your avatar and said to myself "I don't remember posting that in this thread?" Disappointed It's late and I'm a bit confused....... Crazy

To the OP - you can't please all of the people all of the time. Once you accept that certain people will inwardly groan at the very sight of your name & swerve to avoid you, you should be fine Nod Thumbs Up

Sorry. But what a load of auld ballbags. You've done exactly the same thing you're starting a thread to complain about.

What's up? You made one of your snippy comments and someone responded in kind?
