I apologised for not sending a plasma television but suggested she took the 1st plasma tv from her 1st nominated 2nd home along to her 2nd second nominated home.

I have yet to have any response from her.

Laugh

How rude of her Eeker

I was rather hoping her office would be over-flowing with the blasted things.

The reason Labour have been targetted is because it was the Torygraph broke the story first and exposed the Labour MPs indiscretions first.

An unbiased viewpoint would tell you that there are faults on both sides in the expenses scandal. Unfortunately Labour have no-one else to blame but themselves for all the other things that are wrong with this country at the moment.

Didnt say there werent faults on both sides.I dont think for one minute that Labour are squeaky clean in all this. What I am saying is the only paper to report my local MP fiddling was the local rag with a considerably smaller circulation than the Telegraph who are naturally going to report on the indiscretions of the party they want discredited.By the time thy started releasing names of the non Labour MPs,the initial outrage had given way to a general contempt for all MPs...unfair on those many on all sides who are doing an honest job.

This is how i see it and I know there is a lot more to it but I just want to get my point across.

During the 80s Thatcher sold off half of the social housing stock which has ultimatly left us in the mess we are at today with the rise in house prices and the lack of social housing. I might also add that the money made from selling the houses was forbidden from being used to build more social housing.

with the lack of social housing and the tories policies on everyone having the right to own their own home. Bidding on houses became fierce and so we see house prices hitting all time high

No one could afford to buy housing using the traditional 3 multiplyed your earnings formula so thats were the 125% mortgages arose from. people borrowing beyond their means.

Now families are getting their homes repossessed left right and centre and our homeless figures are at an all time high

Sorted.

The present government have had 10 years in which they could have reversed the "Right to buy" policy.

The stock answer is that the so-called Labour party are in charge. Therefore it's down to them.
The fact that there is no difference between Labour and Tory policies doesn't seem to register.

See mine does though...he's a Governor at my kids school round the corner (he's an ex black taxi driver) and his kids all did their work experience there...thats his kids who also go to the same local comp as my older ones!
Thats why I think its hugely unfair that this whole scandal has tarred them all when in reality there are plenty of good ones about.

no it ain't, i haven't forgotten the banking crisis, or the private co's claiming zillions for government projects, where the profits are going to overseas bank accounts. and the latest scam of billions going to 'social care' co's who pay carers min wage, while the said carers have to claim tax credit to make ends meet - while the said co's are milking 10 times that from the goverment. and it's happening with council maintenance projects - the same jobs that used to have councils paying their workers direct.
