I know your a Tory Liverpoollass, but read the papers they are indeed the worst offenders in the expenses scandal, and I don't understand why they have either Lockes, tbh whoever is in power when things go tits up will get the blame, but for me the man in the seat is the only option at the moment to get us out of this god awful place we find ourselves in.

Thing is though, I don't think it is just the expenses scandal that are causing people to vote Conservative. I think it is the fact that Labour are finished and we have a government in crisis who have, over a period of time, put this country in crisis.

No way, are they worst than Labour in this expenses scandal. It just looks good to bash the Tories again

Good morning Lass and well said. The economy of this country is in a terrible condition and getting worse under Labour. Its no good saying its the same the whole world over because there's no doubt its worse here, and worse than I have ever known it. Labour are not even trying to govern now they are just squabbling among themselves like a group of overgrown children. We need to cut through this mess and try to put things right.

sorry squiggle but you are either young or have a short memory if you think this is the worst the country has ever been in

I think it's because it is Labour MP's who have been most guilty of "flipping" 2nd homes especially as many of them are/were ministers with grace and favour homes.
Gordon Brown was also less than consistent in his condemnation of those who had been caught out.

My local Tory MP has been fiddling. His second home(in his constituency) is ex local authority yet has been furnished with antique and bespoke furniture..purchased by a certain leader of the oppostions ma in law.
The reason Labour have been targetted is because it was the Torygraph broke the story first and exposed the Labour MPs indiscretions first.

Parliament should buy a block of flats somewhere and furnish all the flats the same...any MP who needs a London base could then have the keys to one for the duration of their MP-ship.
A basic subsistance allowance should be paid whilst they are in London..anything else they should pay for themselves.
Sorted.

Hi Lass, I know its uphill work but I will keep saying it because otherwise more gullible people will really believe that the Tories are the only ones found with their hands in the cookie jar and poor old Labour are squeaky clean. They have been a really poor government and now that the game is up I guess I will just have to keep on 'telling it like it is'

I sent Jacqui Smith a bath plug after it was revealed she had claimed for an 88pence one on her one of her 2nd second homes.
I apologised for not sending a plasma television but suggested she took the 1st plasma tv from her 1st nominated 2nd home along to her 2nd second nominated home.
I have yet to have any response from her.

Good on you! You have more stamina than me squiggle I just feel it doesn't matter what you say, because people that hate the Tories will never change their minds or listen
