for ignoring Marcus, they tried to speak to him the day after it came out, he was the one who told them he didn't want to talk to them or be mates, so why has he told the others he doesn't know why his friends are ignoring him now, getting them nommed was he? well I hope it backfires just cos he want to sulk like a child.

My 10 year old is more mature than him.
He needs to have his arse slapped and sent to bed early a little more often.

The day after the NoirVash thing was taken to the snog level they both couldn't face him. Siavash even said that he woke up in the next bed to him the following morning and couldn't even say Good Morning as usual.
have you forgotten that..

Nope Tupps, Siavash tried to talk to him in the bedoom and was dismissed, and Noirin tried when Marcus was in the pool and had the same outcome.quote:Originally posted by tupps:

Nope... that was later. Siavash and Noirin (in the bedroom) discussed how their guilt was keeping them from interacting with Marcus the day after the snogging (the first round). It even made the HL show.
If you wake up one morning and the person lying next to you, your friend, suddenly starts avoiding you and can't even look you in the eye or say 'Good Morning' as usual.. what you gonna think.
I'm not condoning Marcus nor am I a Marcus apologist.. and he may have embelished as he often does.. but when he says they stopped talking to him and the avoidance is confirmed by the other people involved, comes straight from their own mouths, then I have no reason to doubt it has a basis in fact.

Nominations and new sides being shuffled about, problem solving, emergency strategy meetings, you know the stuff, who is going to be made redundant?
but in the end they tried and was rebuffed, why do they have to go speak to him anyway, can't it be him trying with them?quote:Originally posted by tupps:quote:Originally posted by love greek sunsets:Nope Tupps, Siavash tried to talk to him in the bedoom and was dismissed, and Noirin tried when Marcus was in the pool and had the same outcome.quote:Originally posted by tupps:

If I had been in the same situation as Noirin and Siavash I would be a lttle hesitant to speak to Marcus too..this guy amongst other aggresive behaviour had threatened to smash Toms' face in on more than one occasion..scarey stuff..

You have to remember that what he said was he woke up one morning and they'd just stopped speaking to him and hanging out with him. Well they did and they confirmed it. But that was the morning after the snog.
Remember he didn't find out about that the very next morning.. he found out about that after Noirin's late night chat with Bea & Sophie and she called Siavash and then Marcus in to hold court.
Once he knew, then he wanted nothing to do with talking to her. So it was the following morning from that that Marcus withdrew contact.
Imo it was the first morning (when he didn't even know they had snogged but they were avoiding through guilt) that he was talking about.
Yeah they tried in the end. Marcus' perogative to accept their overtures or not. I suppose he has been kicked in the teeth (by two of his friends) and was having a sulk. If I put myself in Marcus' shoes for a moment, I would question why you think he needs to be the one to try with them. They are after all the ones that have lied to him.
because Tupps these are adults not children, his reaction to me is the fact that Noirin doesn't fancy him, nothing to do with anything else IMO. And now he is trying to get them nommed.
Siavash is a weakling and is largely avoiding Marcus and the only reason Noirin is trying to talk to Marcus is to try and look better for herself. Both of them know they have messed this up and now are trying some kind of fake romance to rescue the situation. Marcus will not play along with their games.
this is what really bothers me, Marcus has been told on many occasions Noirin does not fancy you, he refused to believe that and no matter what anyone says, you cannot be mislead if there are NO feelings of that sort from her side..he knew this but he knows all, he knows more then anyone else etc...
She has done NOTHING wrong when it comes to Marcus, he is in the wrong, he manipulated her and isolated her and now it's backfiring, now she is the big baddie!! all the while he is recruiting all her friends, "poor me' I'm all alone etc... he knows what he is doing and I don't like his sinister dark side, which he is hiding very well in the last day or so.. hmmm nomination time...
Just because I am talking about Marcus don't think I am saying Noirin is all perfect, she has many issues herself, and she needs to work on certain areas of her life, but all in all she is not a bad girl... just misguided

I can't unerstand it either, she told Marcus time and time again that he was her friend and nothing more. He's being a complete and total plonker, whey do they need Marcus's permission for anything, Siavash told Marcus weeks ago he liked Noirin. Marcus said he knew what weeks ago what was going to happen, but what the hell it's got to do Marcus is beyond me. Bloody hell if I fell out with my friends everytime they snogged someone I didn't want them to, I'd have had no friends left years ago!

and didn't Marcus tell Tom whilst strutting round the pool that he can assess a situation in ten seconds and know what is going to happen for the whole week..well! he didn't see that one coming or did he?

A weakling or wary of an aggressive oaf that dishes out threats of putting his fist through someones face, someone he barely knows?
I'd avoid the agressive tw*t too.

I don't think any of us know what is going on in Marcus' head.
Not engaging in the 'game' is not necessarily childish. I do think Marcus is emotionally stunted and does have the tendancy to act like a 14 year old boy, but I don't think distancing himself is necessarily indicative of a lack of maturity.
Sometimes the mature thing to do is simply turn your back and detach.
As for attempting to get people nommed. You obviously missed LF the other night. After having a pash session with Siavash (which Marcus could see through the window btw), Noirin went to Marcus and tried the 'beg be friends' thing again. Marcus actually quite calmly expressed a desire not to talk about it. But you know Noirin, she couldn't let it lie. Marcus got up and went to the diary room. What did Noirin do?
She whinged to Charlie about Marcus. The night before noms.
Six of one..

Well said Mollie.
He was always going to sulk at the realisation Noirin actually meant 'NO MEANS NO'. It had to be an 'IN YOUR FACE' romance to get the message home to a Mr Misogynist.
Siavash through this series has said he has a girlfriend, now suddenly he says he doesn't. He is far from trusted in the house. He said to Marcus to keep away from Noirin as she was just playing a game, but now Siavash is playing the game with Noirin. Siavash has been told several times by Noirin that they are friends and nothing else. Siavash is continuing with this anyway for the game, he hopes for more airtime with Noirin and knows he would look silly just breaking off from her on national TV having just 'acquired' her.
Noirin broke up her alliance with Marcus just to have a similar alliance with Siavash. She has heard Siavash is one of the favourites. Tom didn't want to get involved in these games and I don't think Marcus does either.

I saw, but what they do in their own time has nothing to do with him really, whether he can see through the window o was in the same room, they don't have to walk on eggshells in the house, I don't like any of them in this triangle and I don't particularly think it is the real deal with Noirin and Siavash, but what gets my goat is the fact that Marcus has made a concious decision, yes to distance himself, which is his perogative, but also to tell lies to the others about what has been going on, and now has become very involved with other Hms all of a sudden and is trying to get them on side.quote:Originally posted by tupps:quote:Originally posted by love greek sunsets:

Yep, I actually feel a bit sorry for Noirin and I'n not even a fan of hers. Marcus over the weeks made her quite dependent on him with subtle mind games. Now he's playing the pity me card and I have a feeling the public with fall for it and she'll be out on friday, then we'll be left with Matcus and Lisa ruling the roost. I may just give up on it completely, he made one good point in the diary room about the racist card and for me that's been his lot.

My point is not whether NoirVash has the right to pash in front of Marcus. Hell they could get it on right in front of him but that isn't the issue. You said he tried to get the nom'd: my point is their actions could be viewed in the same way.
And we go back to my earlier posts. They admitted to distancing themselves (through guilt) and Marcus noticed and told someone. So, again, where is the lie if all parties confirmed that.
If you've lost your two 'mates' in the house, then it is not unreasonable to spend time with the other HMs. Is it. Should he stay away from everyone completely? Because if he does he is seen as 'sulking'. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
They are all trying to gain allies. They are all trying to get people nom'd and out of the house. That is, after all, the point of the game.
right we are not going to see eye to eye on this Tupps so I shall leave it there, we shall be commenting to each other all day otherwisequote:Originally posted by tupps:quote:Originally posted by love greek sunsets:

Do you mean the same girlfriend that was on BBLB and described herself as Siavash's friend?
She can't have been that much of a girlfriend to describe herself as that.
The old wives tale of 'Noirin only got with Vash after finding out he was popular' is pure BS. As they had been flirting and having coded chats before the new hm's entered the house.

You could also have said that his sulking is not something that has only just materialised. He's been doing it all through to get attention from Noirin.

Didn't Marcus say that he got ignored when the new housemates came in. Siavash and Noirin spent their time with Tom and to a lesser extent Freddie spent his time with Bea. Some analogy about him being an old toy being left in the corner because new play things had arrived. Think that was last night, but they had already nominated so its nothing to do with that, its more to do with him getting sympathy from Bea and Sophie then them telling all the other hm's.

He did say something along those lines..
Maybe if he tried a little harder to interact with the newbies he would have had a better time of things..he is too suspicious of people..well Tom in particular because of Noirin.
He gets no sympathy from me I'm afraid, he has brought this all on himself with his controlling ways...He does say on many occasions how if he can't have/do 100% then he's not interested. Not a team player in my book.

I don't think any of them are team players. If they were, BB would not have them in there.
Unless you are a egotistical, selfish cretin you have no chance of getting through the selection process.

I don't think that is strictly true..many of the HMs throughout the years have been able to come together as a team in the house and are still friends today..despite their flaws.

It's very normal for the original HMs to be suspicious of new ones, it's happened very many times in the past on Big Brother.
suspicious I agree, but paranoid to the point of threatening to punch one, without even getting to know him was a bit OTT do you not think?quote:Originally posted by Free Thinking:quote:Originally posted by slimfern:quote:Originally posted by shar69:

The other thing is that Marcus, Siavash and Freddie fancied Noirin. If Noirin had given the nod to either Marcus or Freddie, would they have said 'no, because it will hurt my friends. Would they heck as like they would have been in there as quick as Siavash was. Marcus knows this and I think that is why he is making up the cock and bull about the new hm's. Noirin couldn't go within 10 foot of Tom without Marcus pulling her leash back to him. To be honest, out of Freddie, Noirin and Siavash, it was Freddie that spent all his time with Bea and none with Marcus, so it kind of blows his excuse out of the water.

There were strong suspicions Tom was put in to stir things up and obviously to challenge Marcus's position in the house. I don't excuse what Marcus said and I wish he hadn't said it but the Big Brother environment does create paranoia at times. I think Endemol got what they wanted, maybe some viewers did as well.
