ahem I've now been veggie for 25 years but when I used to eat meat I used to love a bit of liver. I used to pull it out the pan when my mum was cooking it and still eat it bloody. Only thing I never liked was the little tubes. But a bit of liver and onion, surely you can't go wrong, Mind you with dragon fruit (whatever that is) and squirty cream and pastry on I can see it being quite minging.

Liver is disgusting
Liver is raaaaaaaaaaaaank!!!
I like liver.... but only lambs liver.... and like you say jonono, not the tuby bits
Jonono, I was used to rabbits hanging off the keyboard behind the kitchen door. I'll eat, everthing of a chicken apart from the feet, pork trotters, ears, etc. I suppose it's what you're used to.
It's the texture, like chewing velvet *shudders* velvet makes me feel funny in the bad way.
it's the hypocrisy of eating one bit of meat and not the other I don't get. And liver was GOOD. smooth and tasty.
God, I quite fancy a bit!!!

I really like chicken liver, but then I also like the heart and neck and the rest of it.
*pukes*
I just remember I used to work in a bar/restaurant that had warm chicken liver salad as one of the meals. ONe day a customer called me over (the smell was minging) he had stuck his knife into the last liver and it exploded! it was all full of pus!
Maybe I'll just go back to the tofu. Ha Ha we let him have the meal for free it was a dodgy liver though ...

why all the drama over a bit of liver
That's just what Hannibal Lector said jonono Like you, being a non meat eater, I can't see the distinction between one bit of corpse and another. But before I was veggie then vegan I must admit that I felt queasy if the name really reminded you of what body part it was ie Liver, Kidney etc
i dont know if it tasted nice or not .......... when i found out what it was i spat it out lol
No I can't eat Liver
i have never tried prawns crab .. any seafish .......... i have an aversion my starsign is pisces
I also am a veggie ... The memory of liver makes me shudder. I did not like the taste or the texture ....... arghhhhh

I agree with all of the above except I'm not a veggie.Reference:

i'm a non-meat eater too, but i'm sure a slice of baby human's bottom would have a more toothsome texture to it than a granny's veiny leg
Liver,Kidneys Trotters and Tripe are nice though with plenty of vinegar.
I had liver last week, with bacon, onions, peas and mash.
Beautiful.
As a pudding, though, it did look rather offal.

I've never tried it and I can't bring myself to and I really think it's because of the name. My mum absolutely loves it, but it always makes me feel a bit shuddery.Reference:

I'm one of those that will try anything but not sure I'm brave enough for that, I like my jelly with fruit in...oooh or in a pork pie
be nice .............. is there a name for someone who wont eat seafood ? and i mean never ever wont even contemplate it
I think I have eaten just about every thing that comes out of the sea,and liked most of it, but as I have got older I find Whelks and Winkles too hard going.

Where the f*ck do you buy your liver? Sellafield? I can't. Offal is awful.
Now seafood is another matter. Give me anything in a shell and I'm sorted.
Liver and Kidney are about the only things I really cannot eat ..........nothing to do with them being organs/offal - the taste and texture simply make me heave.
I love lambs liver, pan fried with onions, not overcooked, still a bit pink in the middle.
Love lamb kidneys too.
Love lamb kidneys too.
My OH is big into Come Dine With Me. We watched one earlier where the cook had pigs trotters that cost 30p each as his main course. Amazingly, incredibly, and unbelievably, none of his guests would go anywhere near them. What a twat.
