My only followers are a couple of friends.
But we don't use it for messages because phone and texting is easier.

My best tweet was from Zeb Soanes (Radio 4 announcer) who does some very descriptive and evocative tweeting. He's good!
I also follow Russell Tovey, Matt Baker, Gethin Jones, Tomasz Schafernaker, and Mario (Mole) from Big Brother.

I've had a conversation on Twitter with Tim Bentinck from The Archers. I was so nervous!

No one famous follows me but then I only use Twitter for following Arsenal players and fan groups. I quite like it but don't spend much time there

It's ok Issy. I got a few followers I didn't know and when I checked them out they were dating agencies and the like - I just blocked them. I'm not sure how it works but they seem to trawl for newbies. Just block them and problem solved.
I only use it as some of the players post links to photos and you usually get  quite good reactions to results etc.

I think I will ask younger daughter to talk me through it as she uses it loads

The only problem is if you're looking for a particular celeb and you find there are loads with that name. I think Twitter give them an official badge once they've been verified - but I only add players that are listed on Arsenal fora or recommended by other players.
Kids are useful for techie stuff aren't they?

Veggie......kids are good for techie stuff , yes! Once you get thru the sighing and oh mother stuff, they are useful . They dont hear, can you wash up, but ask about Facebook etc they are on the ball

Lol Skylark they sure do have selective hearing. My mate lived opposite a small park and all our kids played there. She used to say that you could call and call them until your lungs gave out with no response but rustle a sweet wrapper in Edgware (2 miles away) and they'd hear it
I must admit that mine do most of the techie stuff for me like connecting stuff to the tv etc. I'm absolute rubbish at anything like that
