Sickening

As the dogs were lurchers, there is a possibility that they were held by travellers and were mistreated by them. The vicar who used to be at our church took in a lurcher from a local animal rescue centre. The lurcher - Ossie - had previously been kept by travellers who has systematically mistreated him, and eventually abandoned him. The vicar and his family looked after him for the rest of his life and have him the happiness that he deserved.

This is made more evil by the fact that it could hardly have been some sort of accident. (Well, it is possible I suppose but very unlikely.)  It sounds as if the thing had to be methodically prepared.

What a horrible act of cruelty. I hope they find the person/people who did this and string them up!

Yep.. awful.

The same people who probably enjoyed watching the poor dogs run down hares/rabbits etc and tear them to bits. They probably got a bit slower than they liked and that's why they got rid of them...barstewards!

That's what sickens me the most, they've obviously thought about it and planned it.  Not just a spur of the moment sickening act of madness.
