If it had meant anything to him he would not have wanted Noirin and if it had meant anything to her she would have been truly hurt and she would wait to hear what he said when he came out but in all honesty if your boyfriend cheats on you on TV and also claims to have fallen in love, why would you want to flog what is obviously a dead horse. This just shows her to be vacuous and greedy hoping to cash in on some sympathy and standing by her man crap and wanting to gain something from it, ie his balls and some spotlight.

But Siavash used her in the house. Before he suddenly decided to make a play for Noirin (as a new HM intimated to her he was a favourite) he had said he HAD a GF and was taken. Since the Noirin break up Siavash has again used his GF in the house saying he feels guilty and maybe they could be together again.
Siavash has been the one all along who has been seeking sympathy from HMs and audience, and it has no doubt been largely fake to cover up his mistakes in the house.

You make some very good points and I am inclined to agree.
What she said was v odd, and needing to stand up to do so! i.e. that her career is most important so guessing that she wants to give that a boost on the back of this.
