It's tragic enough as it is but I really hoped (foolishly..?) that there'd be some way that it could now be managed with some privacy.   And dignity. 

I'm not sure if dignity's the right word, but her last years were reported as being filled with seedy, trashy goings on;  it would have been kinder (now I'm being naive) to have focused on the talent rather than the sensationalism of it all.

 

For all her personal failings, she was a marvellous talent and to be respected for that at least.
