What did you do to fix it EC? Good you fixed it in time  A loose pipe connection nut under my kitchen sink leading up to the fawcet burst open past month. Went off like a fire hose. Thought it was a burst pipe 

I fixed mine too but with loads of sealant and gunge etc 

you could also use you *plumbers Oscar* ^^ as an avvie.

No, since last year, plumbers won't believe me that I can hear 'sounds' and have cracks in the ceiling. Hence why I'm tired and can't get any proper sleep these days, for when I'm listening out for 'noises'

Seriously Roger, believe me it's not. I have heard splutterings in my bedroom but haven't got the money to sort it. While back bedroom has already had a leak and had to pay to replace old pipeworks and still has hole in ceiling where the water has come through. I've had plumbers back several times but they won't believe me and think there's nothing wrong but still won't go up into the loft where the original leak started. (It's an old 1930's house) 

Yeah, well, when you haven't got the money to repair..........

Does your home insurance cover it,surely it's better for them to fix any problems and  prevent major damage to the ceiling.

Why wouldn't they go up to the loft? Its your house, you should know.
