i'm currently trying johnsons, and like it, but have always used nivea in the past, i really like that.
trouble is, i do it every day for about a week then can't be bothered for a week and get ghost like again!

I covered myself with it tonight and my eyes were buzzing. I had to drive with one eye closed. When I got to the pub I had to go to the loo and wash my face with the yukky pub soap and water

I prefer it for my legs as I do not like sitting out in the sun as I find I get much too hot and my delicate fair skin does not like it. I generally use this kind of lotion for my body but not my face because if it does go a little steaky it is not so noticeable on the legs.

I tried the Johnsons one when it first came out, but was put off by the smell ... have they improved on it ...?
I got some johnsons on half price special offer in sainsburys last week whenI was doing my wkly shopping - maybe that is why it was reduced. Found some avon stuff and I think its gone off - smelt like vinegar

Not a good sign ...
The good weather forced me into a skirt the other day so I retrieved a bottle of St Tropez mousse that was sitting in the bathroom cabinet ... oh ... probably since last summer ... No matter how much I shook it, it came out in liquid form ... but I chanced it anyway ... I still have skin and it still did the job ...

Ok... back in the days when I was pampered... I used to use Lancome or Clinique ones....
...those days are long gone!
I think I have perfected this years 'this is not false tan... I am sunkissed' routine.
1. Exfoliate... lots!
2. Apply light moisturiser / face cream (depending on where, obviously).
3. Apply a richer cream, quite thickly over "hot spots" (knees, elbows, ankles, eyebrows, hairline)
4. Wearing latex gloves, lightly apply L'oreal sublime bronze.. everywhere. (when removing gloves... peel them down and using the residue on the fingers of the gloves blend onto backs of alternate hands).
5. Try not to crease, rub, wet anywhere til its all soaked in. ( I then usually go to bed!)
Next day... its still quite a light tan (cos of pre body lotion application), so then I top up with Johnson's holiday skin lotion for the next 3-4 days.
After which I have to repeat the whole sequence again (or you get scummy build up... and look a bit skanky!)
I do all this cos the result doesn't look orange, or false, and you don't get that false tan stink.

I normally follow all those steps ditty ... but an extra one that creeps in without fail with me is ... paint the bathroom walls with false tan ... It's not so bad when it hits the tiles, but it doesn't appear to come off painted walls ...

Ditto with the hair colouring ... I leave that to the professionals ... now all I need is a promotion in work to justify having someone else apply my false tan ...
Have you ever gone in for a spray tan? I did it for my daughter's wedding some time ago. It looks pretty good, and lasts quite a while.
Have had a spray tan done a few times ... for special occasions too ... It always looks 10 times better than anything I can manage myself ... Although the DIY St Tropez and Fake Bake tans are (to a certain extent) foolproof and normally don't streak ... But they're so messy ...

No, it dries (like paint ), and sticks around for awhile, even if you shower.

Yes, indeedy... between us, my OH and I have three kids. Just married the second one off end of April, and the last one gets married in August. They are 26, 28, and 30.
