I had Netflix before I moved to Korea, it was only ÂĢ5 a month but the choice of movies were a little limiting (although i did find some gems) and some of them were proper cheapy bullcrap films. Lovefilm is British (i believe) and has been in the UK longer than netflix so has a wider choice of films, but not sure on the price.

Lovefilm has a wider selection of films and tv shows than Netflix. Lovefilm also offer dvds by post for slightly more. Both offer a free month trial [you can cancel easily after the free bit].

My brother uses a cashback site called Quidco. They recently gave him money for using  his free trial so he ended up making money

Theres also Blinkbox, I've watched a couple of films on that. You simply pay per film.

I think LOVEFILM is now owned by Amazon. I had a guy at my door that tried signing me up.

A colleague of mine buy's blu-rays (was DVD's) watches them and then sells them on very quickly after. The difference is his costs. If he likes the film he keeps it.

Would probably work out a lot more than a subscription service, but it works for him. Plus his choice is as big as the retailers stock.
