TBH, I never really paid much attention to Carotino, because I just didn't "get him".  Others did, perhaps it was inside jokes, whatever.

Never bothered me one way or the other.  However, when he started in on Cinds, and it wasn't just one thread, it was several.  When asked, several times to clarify what he meant, he refused to answer directly.  Although I did ask him if he thought Big D was a figment of Cinds' imagination, he answered with "he's a figroll".

There is a lot of goading and baiting going on in order to try and get people to engage in forum fighting.  And always by the same people.

Presume what you like Daniel about your "character and normal social interaction stylee" analysis. This is a forum. We all interact differently. What`s normal? Carotino is man on few words, unlike some. Who`s normal?
Well, imagine being in a bakery and the assisant asks if you want white or wholemeal when you say you want a loaf.  An answer like "wholemeal please" is normal.  An answer like "actually, do you have granary?" is normal.  An answer like "the love of dosh [1] is the root of all evil" is not normal.  Mostly, people can ignore it but if you're at the head of a queue in a shop ... or in a pending forum argument ... then I suggest normal is the way to go.

Hope this helps.

I do think that Carotino's goading was out of order.  It was continual and didn't seem like 'joking'  to me.  I assume that he/she didn't believe that 'Cinds 'husband was actually real.  Sometimes, it's good to just keep your opinions to yourself.  Where is Cinds husband by the way?  He hasn't been banned too has he?  If he was keen to join the forum, I wonder why he isn't posting?

Well considering everything that went on and then his wife gets banned, after all that crap, who would want to come back an post here!

So it was supposed to be a laugh. But why after the first thread, when it was clear that the intended harmless humor wasn't being taken as such, then continue with more threads of the same vein? Surely common sense tells someone if you say something and it's clearly offensive to some or has raised questions, you should explain your reasoning and shouldn't continue with it? I find it odd that he continued with the threads in (as has been suggested) 'harmless good humour' even after clearly seeing that they were only funny to a certain few, and certainly not funny to Cinds or her husband, who the threads directly addressed.

Come back carotino..all is forgiven

If it wasn't funny to Cinds and her husband then why were they and others from here always in certain threads joking about her imaginary husband and imaginary mates etc etc etc? Why didn't they let it go? All the craps getting dumped on Carotinos shoulders and yeah maybe he did start it but he certainly wasn't the only one that kept it going

Well I would have thought most people would. If it was my partner, I would've been on here defending them.

I would have more pressing things to do with my spare time than dragging my partner into some forum squabble, I dont know why he's not come back...but if that was me I certainly wouldnt come back! Not worth the time and effort. Horses for courses innit! I wouldnt imagine Cinds is hoofing about the house making a big deal about it

I guess it is horses for courses trollop.  But I am surprised that 'Mr Cinds' hasn't come back to defend his wife and at least say what happened or whatever.  Just seems a bit odd to me that's all.  I am not saying that he doesn't exist (like a few implied,) but him (Big D was it?) not coming on and posting at all since Cinds was bopped., seems a wee bit suspicious and seems to add weight to the implication that Mr Cinds was fictional.  Myself; I'm not sure what to think.

I don't know who here has met him Leccy, but I would wager that the vast majority of posters here haven't, so it was understandable that some may doubt his existence.  Not saying I doubt it; I am pretty neutral.  i haven't seen proof he exists or proof he doesn't.

Maybe they banned the IP address?

What?!! If it was kept in the one thread I might agree with you, but it wasnt. Cinds wasnt starting multiple threads about the same thing. Neither was anyone else. Infact check the Troll Tank, most of Carotinos threads are still locked down there.

Because some of us don't take forum crap seriously.  Personally, I would rather laugh at the insanity of it all then to get outraged.  Fact is, I have enough going on in my real life than to worry and fret about if Cinds has a husband or not.  I tend to take people at face value, unless the rubbish they are spouting is last night's episode of Cornation Street.

That is what all the fake husbands, friends, etc. threads were all about.  I think people lose sight of the fact that most of the time, no one really cares.  Fact is, I have spoken to Cinds husband on the phone, other FM's have met him in real life.  He does exsist.  Why is it so hard for some people to believe that others may have a real life that exsists beyond this forum?

I know Leccy, but obviously a few people here didn't believe that this Mr D was in actual fact CInds husband.  I don't know why, you would have to ask them.  And since Cinds was bopped, he hasn't been on here, so it does seem to add weight to the argument that 'Mr Cinds' was ficticious.  Like I said, I aren't saying he was, I am indifferent, I don't know if he was or not.  So who has met him from here then?

Why would people doubt it? People have husbands all the time
Thats whats so funny about the whole thing! What do people want DNA?! If someone said that their husband was posting on here I wouldnt question it. If it wasnt their husband, so what...we've seen a lot worse going on around here! The fact that the whole thing kicked off, and still is raising these questions is bizarre

Not withstanding all of that, Cinds has been postin on BB and here for years, so why would she make it up! Its not like people dont know her

Obviously the ones who have met him in real life believe he's real LOL but those who haven't - and that is most people here, are entitled to have doubts.  That is all I am saying.  All I said is I wonder why he hasn't posted since Cnds was bopped?  I'm just asking.
