We went to the Maldives and Dubai. The Maldives was total and utter paradise...a waterfront bungalow with steps down into the ocean, where you could go for a swim before breakkie...walks on the beach where sometimes your footprints were the only ones on the beach...breathtaking sunsets...beautiful food, fabulous staff....snorkelling, kayaking...it was sheer heaven.
I want to go back
The Yorkshire Dales in January 1976. We stayed at the Hotel owned y my in laws.
We'd just bought our house and were totally broke so it was our only option. It was lovely but I'd have preferred an exotic, romantic, warmer location but - beggars can't be choosers!
We went to Tunisia, and spent a lot of our time with two Tunisians we got friendly with. They took us to various family celebrations, and to several local cafes and restaurants that we would never have found on our own. We also had a couple of memorable days where they took us out by train to some of the major sites; they chose times when the tourist trips wouldn't be there, and we had everywhere to ourselves. We went back to meet up with them a few times over the years.
St James , Babados, August 1988. amongst the best 2 weeks of my life, I always thought we'd go back at some stage, Beautiful Country, I'd guess it's changed now.

Sounds amazing Temps....I caught a holiday show on The Maldives. some of the rooms were actually built in the sea, looked like they were on stilts, Did you have to get a small plane to your island,

Yeah, we were out on stilts and we got the water taxi to the island, well kind of, they dropped us off on a platform in the middle of the ocean and a boat came out to collect us. They were the propeller type water planes like you see in the Bond Movies
It is as close to paradise as I'm ever going to witness...when you look out and it's just ocean as far as you can see...and it's that turquoise blue you see in the movies, and the pure white sand. We always say we're going to go back, but we couldn't afford butlins this year never mind paradise
It was actually a recommendation we got from a former C4 member that helped us decide to go (caxwell). He had stayed on the same island we were thinking of going to and highly recommended it
We flew to Miami, then toured all round Florida, yes, we did Disney , then we flew to Nu Yoike for 4 days, before flying home.
Didn't choose the best time of year for Florida, so it was hot and windy, which sums up our relationship, really.
Fiji. It was heavenly. We got there via L.A. and crossed the International Dateline so it took a hell of a while, but was soooo worth it.
Never went on honeymoon.
We went to the Maldives too!! (Medufushi)
Total paradise!!
Kate and Wills are in the Seychelles, apparently.
Bang goes the secret location!
ooh are they?
I considered the Seychelles when I was researching where we should go. I initially wanted to go to Bora Bora... but even if we could have afforded it, once there we couldn't have afforded to actually eat or drink.

And you certainly need something to keep your energy levels up, on honeymoon!

We went to Paris.? Loved it too.
The Maldives are under threat due to global warming, the sea levels are rising and they are practically on sea level.

I've just looked at Kuramathi... its very very similar to Medhufushi... same kinda size (small)... exactly the same bungalows etc.
I got sidetracked looking at the "Renewal of Vows" packages
oooh... Kuramathi has a kids club!
Medhufushi was pretty much a child free zone! (no restrictions on kids... just not that kinda island).
Helensburgh - It was raining. The hotel was nice though. It was owned by the same chain of hotels in which we had our reception. They drove us down there and drove us home again. They were very pleasant.
no-one has ever wanted to marry me
cant think why
Paris - in July was very hot but we had an air conditioned room ....it was lovely

Medhufushi just moved into the lead
Mars. Pretty good but no atmosphere.
We're not married, but if we did I'd like to go to Okinawa or Hawaii.

yeah... we talked to one of the waiters about the kids, and how we'd like to bring them back with us one day... he got all excited and said they never have kids to stay on Medhufushi...
I don't think we'd take the kids with us if we returned...
they wouldn't appreciate it
