same here - I am near a main road and 24 hour garage but it  is  usually quite quiet

I have to say.......at this time o night next door isn't out playing with his motor bike on the drive and revving, and revving, and revving   

Next door but one too me has a guard dog  your just starting too drop off too sleep and it starts barking  then goes all quiet and then starts again about 3am  it drives me round the bend 

This is the band that usually plays on Saturday nights in Summer... I know their set... its ... REM classics, then whoaaaah "this sex is on fire... woaaaahhh".

I'm not in the mood for drink... but I'm heading for the port...

I hate living next to it .......Aww gawd they're starting up again

My next door neigh..BORE loves to DI himself...............the drills, the sanders.... 

OMG Aimes - you have my every sympathy ... the people who used to live at the end of out garden had a dog that used to yap and yap and yap and it drove me mental. In the end I used to phone them up and ask them to take the dog inside. 

They've moved now - it's lovely and peaceful (sorry Rosie, you probably didn't need to know that!)

I'm like that when my neighbours son kicks off  i know exactly what he will do cause he does the same everytime, slam front door, slam gate, get in car and slam door, rev the engine and then speed off, only too come back a few minutes later and quietly shut the gate, makes me laugh everytime 

I love Swansea Rosie - though I am more of an Uplands Diner sort of person than a 5 star hotel sort of person

They've stopped Baz   its only the wind rattling the windows...lets hope theyre having an early night  I've just found my earplugs too ... phew.

i know it's not the dogs fault but i could easily strangle it  it barks at every little thing, the rspca have took no end of dogs off them  they have a brick wall and gates around their property, god knows why they need a guard dog as well  they've also got a brick garage which they have now turned into a bungalow  so they are banging and drilling from 6am, everyone are getting pee'd off with them

That is my worse nightmare - my neighbours are dirty and slovenly, they have let trees grow in their garden to huge heights, there are weeds everywhere and their house looks like a run down tip ... but they are quiet. I like them

Swansea is a great town apparently Rexi - FOR GOING OUT!!!  I gotta sleep next to the shenanigans though 

Its kinda quietened now... for now... 

I found ear plugs... good night... for now 

I'm happy to say my area is very quiet and we rarely have any noise late at night (knock on wood).  Although I will complain that my 2 children are still fighting upstairs even though they are supposed to be in separate rooms and asleep by now

Trouble with noise is, it's annoying.....I live in a dead end road ( ,).......really quiet, every car you "Hear" every drunk on the way home "Echoes", every frisky Fox "Startles"

Might be better if you live Albert Square, you might get used to NOISE!!!!!!

Trouble is that if you do that you have to declare it if you ever want to sell the house 

Theyre starting up again... but I've found my earplugs and I 've had a double shot of port...

I would rather have 100 decibels in each ear than having your OH in hospital this time of year. This is just my opinion BTW. Contact your local council noise people to get the noise shut down.

And then there was the night that I shouted out the bedroom window at 12.30 am ish asking them  "please would you mind awfully asking your dog to be quiet". I'm not proud of that night

All quiet here. Don't get a lot of noise at all TBH! My boy and his partner left after the Crimbo visit today .........other sons friend (Del Boy)who is a regular has just left - Mr Woo gone to bed ..........................................PEACE - for the first time in a while!

I had my first Christmas moment of peace yesterday sooz - it was truly lovely

I think you two know me well enough ...

I remember one night other next door neighbour's car alarm was going off, and there was no-one to be seen. I went round in my DG (with various bods in the street also out on their doorsteps) and told them what I thought  

I'm virtually deaf in one ear ..........it can be irksome at times but it does have it's advantages. If there happens to be an alarm going off or whatever when I'm in bed - I just turn onto my deaf side!

And hubby cops it eh?
