GaGaJoyJoy - where are you in Seattle?
Is it possible for me to look at your workplace using Google Maps/3D maps?
How can I pinpoint exactly where you are?

I got a bit choked looking at my childhood home YRIt's amazing the detail you can see on the street view... I'm also interested in the GaGa whereabouts
I'm gusssing that Gagajoyjoy is located at the Social Strata HQ which is at suite 525 at 1904 3rd Avenue, Seattle, but I could be wrong.

Isn't it interesting all the the different things that can suddenly bring back different memories for whatever reason. Memory's weird, I may not remember what happened 2 days ago yet can remember some things that happened years ago lol.I got a bit choked looking at my childhood home YR

Doesn't sound like you're wrong, sounds like you know exactly where they are lol Hi to Seattle
I was amazed at Google Street Maps, I have not been out of my home since 2004 and was amazed to see what has happened in my home town. The work that must have gone on to produce this beggars belief--- all the side streets to cover etc; How was it planned out? How many hours did they have to put in driving, did they have to stay in hotels overnight? what happened if it was a rainy day? Would love to learn how this was planned and performed to be able to see all these images in 360 deg.. Brilliant IMO...
Hi Real I hope you are doing alright.
I agree about Google maps. It must have been an enormous project. The mind boggles (as they say.)
As you have said, if you haven't been out for a number of years it must be especially surprising to you.
Like you, I don't know all the ins and outs and how they set about it. But I would like to.
I suppose that information is somewhere if we know where to look.
I agree with you - it is brilliant.

Hi Brisket.. The task must have been a nightmare... when you think... you get to a crossroads with 4 directions-- each on with numerous streets going off it.. Just in my area alone ---if i were to go out and explore every street it would take me years.... Hope someone can come up with " How do they do it" thread..
If I do come across something about how Google did all this and how big a project it is, and how long it has taken, then yes I will post it.
I imagine it is what they describe as "on-going".
As you say Real it can take us ages to really know our own local areas
Because of its sheer size the whole thing is difficult to comprehend.
And because of all the work others have done we can see these places from our own chair in our own room. Amazing.
Good to see you Real. Take care.

I can't claim to have any inside knowledge, I just had a quick look at the Terms of Service link at the foot of this page, where they were almost certain to include Social Strata's address. Then I did a quick Google search to confirm that GaGaJoyJoy is part of Social Strata, and there you have it.I'm gusssing that Gagajoyjoy is located at the Social Strata HQ which is at suite 525 at 1904 3rd Avenue, Seattle, but I could be wrong.

Mind you, I then went to have a look at 1904 3rd Avenue on Google Maps and got stuck. I can see numbers around 1904, but no door which seemed to be 1904, so I guess they have one of these invisible entrances which only those who work for them can see it.
Has any succeeded in finding 1904 on Google Maps?

No. I haven't found it. I agree about the "invisible" entrance (although I notice that Google maps state that addresses they show are only approximate.I saw Macy's department store.
Dave, Rosemary, Lori - and anyone else who is listening - can you see Macy's store from your window?
Give us a clue.
I've now identified 1904 3rd Avenue as the old Securites building. From the 3rd Avenue viewpoint, I can see a window above the main doors showing Securities. So our friends are somewhere inside. However, I have also found that there are other entrances from Stewart Street and 4th Avenue. My guess is that 1904 is a huge building running the length of Stewart Street, and I'm not sure that it is possible to get Google Maps to show us down that particular stretch of Stewart Street, but someone may prove me wrong.
I think I have found the spot you mention El Loro - the doorway with 'securities' printed over it.
I believe this is it (screenshot):
Perhaps the GaGaJoyJoy team will post a picture with an arrow saying "we are here".
On the other hand perhaps they have good reason not to be found, and they may wish to remain under cover.
I'll try to have a look at Stewart Street.

brisket, that is the sign I was referring to. I have also put a link to this thread on the Feedback thread asking our friends to put us out of our misery.
Where are you? Lets be aving you...
Thanks El Loro.
I really rather like the idea that although they are on the other side of the world, we can actually see their workplace, or at least their surroundings.
They are nice people, and I want to be sure they are not being forced to work in a hovel!

brisket, I think you can rest assured that they are being well looked after when you read this article I have found. In fact I can see vast quantities of people rushing over to Seattle to beg to work for Social Strata.
Thanks for that link El Loro (which in turn linked me to other interesting places.)
I wish Rosemary and the team very well. I do like the philosophy a lot and admire their desire to embrace it.

Hi Real, I know that for the Street view, they use cars with cameras on the roof to picture the streets at every angle . We must have been out when they came into our cul-de-sac as there no cars in the driveway. Shame as I would love to be immortalised on Street view
It's amazing how they manage to put it all together.

Thanks for that Stonks
Thank you stonks.
That's just the sort of stuff I wanted to know.

GaGaJoyJoy friends:
Please tell us where you are. (I promise I don't intend to visit.)
Can you see Macy's from your office?

I've just checked my house, and there it is in glorious technicolor complete with my car in the driveway. However Google have a policy of masking the registration plate in order to preserve people's identities. I doubt whether Google would actually show people at their houses either.
Oh dear. I've checked mine now.
I don't have a car. But the house looks so drab.

Um. It IS Sunday over here, and we DO get Sundays off.
You guys are good: the address is correct, and that is indeed the front door to our building! And, yes! I can see Macy's from my window! (bit dangerous to be so close to Macy's.....)

Oooops.
Forgot it is (was) Sunday.
But thanks for that Lori.
I feel so much more relaxed now that I know you are nicely housed.
'Twas just curiosity. But strangely I am happy to know where you all are.
It makes you more real.
Thanks very much for confirmation.
As for Macy's - you will just have to show will-power (you must have heard of will-power )

the mere fact that I still have funds in my account is proof that I have willpower.
I wanna work opposite Macy's & still have funds in my account!
I think this is probably as close as we can get to show GaGaJoyJoy's offices with Macy's.
