I just splurged my Boots Advantage points at lunchtime on some Angel. Tested it on Saturday, lasted forever on me (can still smell it on my watch today) and I loved it. However.... I tested it again today and realised it takes a good hour to 'settle' on me. I'll need to make sure I spray it on as soon as I'm showered!
Its an intense perfume and one either loves it or hate it... Im on the hate camp , it stings like a bee and doesnt smell that nice on me Disappointed

ohh i love angel, i also love angel innocence but that seems to be so light the smell is gone in half an hour.

The other perfume i want is Maitresse by Agent Provocateur

I'm loving it now... three hours later...

I once tested Dune (many years ago) and I had to go into a public toilet and scrub my wrist - it was bright red and so swollen my watch was digging in to me. I never buy perfume the same day I try it now.

Angel definitely reacts differently on different people... on my friend it smells gorg... on me it smells so bad it made me and hubby physically retch!

I wear J'adore every day.

Oscar by Oscar de la Renta
Also a very old fashioned one and not very expensive, cheap in fact, Tabu by Dana, but beware
you need the tiniest amount. It’s the only perfume I’ve ever worn where men ask me what it is, so they
can buy it for their wives/girlfriends.

(The first fragrance of the house was Tabu, created by Jean Carles 1932. Jean Carles was well known for his wonderful creations made of unusual materials. Before creating Tabu, he was instructed to make a fragrance for a whore (‘un parfum de puta’). Thus, Tabu was created, sensual and shocking.)

The most commented on perfume I have is "Roma" by Laura Biagotti... its a very musky scent.

Women HATE it. Men LOVE it. I have never had so many men approach me and ask me what perfume I have on.

On that basis... daughter nicks it whenever she is going anywhere where menfolk may be! Laugh

This Tabu sounds intriguing - must check it out. Smiler

Youth Dew is one of those perfumes I remember my mum having donkeys years ago. Along with a bottle of Chanel No 5 that she just kept in her room for years and years until it evaporated. Disappointed

My mum used to hoard them like that too.. and in direct sunlight.... til I pointed out that perfumes 'go off'.

Now she uses them everyday without feeling guilty Big Grin

Ooooh I remember Tabu!

Nowadays I stick mainly to Issey Miyake and Prada. The perfume seems to suit me whereas I tried J'adore and no one adored me...
