Do a bouillabaise (sp) type thing.  Chuck all sorts of crap in that and just jazz it up with some monkfish or langoustines or whatever.

I have actually managed to convince myself that they have no calories because I make them so often (please don't anyone tell me the truth)

It is easy.  Just takes a bit of time to really get loads of flavour.  Get your fishmonger to give you loads of bones and shit to get the stock nice and strong.

she moans when I ask her to make sweetcorn & pepper flan saying that is too complicated (cos she has to bake the pastry blind) ...    so if she moans about that, but not bouillabaisse ...
