We've just been out for dinner tonight

You're back early!

Yes .................my husband has been to a funeral today - I would have gone (not someone everso close but a nice man) I was out on a Spar day with my daughter (her Christmas pressie to me) - by seven o'clock we were a bit knackered and disorientated so we went out early - came back and we're now knocking back the wine (just for a change).

TBH ...............i think tomorrow will be the day to celebrate! After three weeks my mums flooded bungalow will be ready for her to return to tomorrow night.

I love my mum dearly but .................three weeks is a long time. She needs her space - as I do - we're both looking forward to tomorrow.TBH ..............if it had been another thtee weeks that would have been OK but ............. tomorrow is good.

It has been so long ago I cant remember.. any night out would be a good one with good  company

Awwwwww ................there really is nothing like good company
I enjoyed New Years Day evening with my sis and brother in law this year. It ended in a drunken game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Trivial Pursuit. A very drunken evening where we all went to bed giggling like mad. We were laying in bed stifling our giigles and could hear my sis and her husband in the next bedroom doing the same.

I woke up at 5.30 for a wee and couldn't resist opening their bedroom door a bit and mutteering 'blah, blah, blah beard' ......................................I thought it was hilarious but I guess you just had to be there!

We have a night out in Hamburg at least once a year. Any one of 'em is my best night out. Take yer pick from getting pre-loaded in either of the cocktail bars several hundred feet above the harbour, Jazz cafe's, playing chess against a stranger in regency style reading rooms, pavement eating establishments, surreal organised tours around the red light district and shops which sell devices and things, breakfast at the fischmarkt and flohmarkts.
