I don't go out a lot (as you my have gathered by my posts on here, I'm a sad git) but I went to my old boss's daughter's wedding about 6/7 years ago. I ended up being one of the last ones there and being chucked out
It's my 35th wedding anniversary today. We've just been out for dinner tonight - we've been reminiscing(sp) - we're both agreed that our wedding day was simply the best day/night out of our lives ...............it's all been downhill ever since

Yes .................my husband has been to a funeral today - I would have gone (not someone everso close but a nice man) I was out on a Spar day with my daughter (her Christmas pressie to me) - by seven o'clock we were a bit knackered and disorientated so we went out early - came back and we're now knocking back the wine (just for a change).
Rexi - you have a point
Glad you had a good time Sooz and happy anniversary! x

I hasten to add .............that was a typo - we wnt to a Health Spa ...................not shopping at the local Spar
I did wonder! I was thinking 'why has she been waiting since Christmas to do down the shop?'
Congrads Soozy, enjoy the rest of your night

Congrats to you and Mr Chips Soozy ! Laughing at the Spar day
TBH ...............i think tomorrow will be the day to celebrate! After three weeks my mums flooded bungalow will be ready for her to return to tomorrow night.
I love my mum dearly but .................three weeks is a long time. She needs her space - as I do - we're both looking forward to tomorrow.TBH ..............if it had been another thtee weeks that would have been OK but ............. tomorrow is good.

ahh good stuff
35 years ago, before I was attached with children etc, I used to get ready after work on Friday for a weekend in Cologne. Pub, food, nightclub, first pub to open, and the same again. I have no idea where the energy came from, I'd trundle back home on a Sunday night and go to work on Monday.

They were the days eh cologne?
I see my children doing it now and wonder where they get the energy from
Best night out, there have been so many. One definitely involved Trollop and his Mrs last January in London. Another last weekend with my Mr.
Best night in involved a Creme egg

Difficult to choose just one, but most of my best nights out have been in a theatre.
Too many to say for me either, had so many good nights out last year and New Years Eve.

You bought another half a dozen for this weekend ?

Awwwwww ................there really is nothing like good company
I enjoyed New Years Day evening with my sis and brother in law this year. It ended in a drunken game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Trivial Pursuit. A very drunken evening where we all went to bed giggling like mad. We were laying in bed stifling our giigles and could hear my sis and her husband in the next bedroom doing the same.
I woke up at 5.30 for a wee and couldn't resist opening their bedroom door a bit and mutteering 'blah, blah, blah beard' ......................................I thought it was hilarious but I guess you just had to be there!
Sounds like a fun night you all had Soozy

6 in one weekend. No way. That fondant icing takes so much licking off.

I've never been out.

NO...............not at all. But the tongue gets tired, and if Mr Cinds could do 6 creme eggs in one weekend, I'd probably hire him out. It is a recession after all

Never once? Do you live in a flower pot?
I went on a quiet & relaxing girlie spa weekend with my best friend last summer, we ended up drunk on wine and gatecrashing a wedding
I went to New York for the Millennium and it was AMAZING. Me and my mate went to the MTV party in Times Square and had free drink all night at the World (WWF Cafe)
We have a night out in Hamburg at least once a year. Any one of 'em is my best night out. Take yer pick from getting pre-loaded in either of the cocktail bars several hundred feet above the harbour, Jazz cafe's, playing chess against a stranger in regency style reading rooms, pavement eating establishments, surreal organised tours around the red light district and shops which sell devices and things, breakfast at the fischmarkt and flohmarkts.
