I live when in the UK between MArlow and Henley.

I adore it. Have a fab social life here, its so pretty here, have the river and the wildlife.

And myself and my group are soooo not posh.

I have lived a lot of places in the UK, but this by far has always been the best.

And every day between 4 and 5, I have 3 Egyptian Ducks come for supper. This is one of the reasons i couldnt move back to London, where i was born and bought up. I hate it, too noisy, and makes me feel very claustrophobic

Glasgow?

No. Around a hundred mile further north.

Argyllshire?

Only just. I live in south Lochaber, about 4 miles north west of Glencoe village.

Beautiful beautiful part of the world Nod

I always think Glencoe has such an atmosphere. It's as though it is whispering.

It has an amazing atmosphere I agree. Many people find it very frightening though. I suppose it depends on the weather when they first encounter the mountain scenery.

I am just half a mile from the coast of Loch Linnhe, we're in a small glen, very sparsly populated, we hardly see another human from one week to another. We have mountains and forests around us and the wildlife is amazing.

It is! We have lived in this house for 26 years but we have to move now. It breaks my heart.

Aww you are kidding?! What a horrible thing to have to do.

I hope your new place is lovely as well and remember you can create lots of new memories in it!

Yes. We're pensioners now, and the very large garden (which I did from scratch) is too much for my husband to manage because I am incapable of getting into the garden. Also we have to rely on him being able to carry on driving as we're 18 miles from the nearest town and supermarket. Realistically he won't be able to carry on driving for ever. Also the glen is unsuitable for my wheelchair. So the time has finally come for us to move.
