I've just had a not very exciting, but very tasty,  salad of rocket, spring onion, red pepper, cucumber, tomato, jalepenos, lightly grated cheese and a drizzle of french dressing with ham and more big slices of red pepper and cucumber.

I've got a big pot of home-made soup simmering aswell for later.  Trying to be good today because I pigged out on Pizza yesterday

not bad actually - home made of course so I add what I like and fiddle with the recipe but brown rice is boring and I'm on a diet so .......

I don't mind brown rice, if I'm doing it for chicken fried rice or something I use chicken stock when boiling the rice.....gives it a bit more flavour.

The cauli curry sounds strange to me but then I can't make curry from scratch.....well actually I did once by accident, it started out as homemade soup.

It's not that difficult to do a homemade curry if you have curry paste and cauliflower was all I had left so I bunged in some other veggies and voila!    I usually only ever use a cauli for cauliflower cheese so it was nice to use it for something else

Sounds nice Pengy.

I always put a dash of ketchup in curries - got that tip from Shilpa Shetty

Pengy , if you are on a diet, and you like curry...try this. Its from the cook yourself thin book.

http://www.channel4.com/4food/...ala-with-rice-recipe  ( you could leave use brown rice instead) and use quorn if you veggie

This is the nicest home made chicken tikka masala ever!! I had it at a friends party once, (nobody was on a diet) but she chose to make it because it is so delicious. I agree, and have made it several times.

Me too Ells. I usually use Pataks.

I'm not fussed on Indian curry....would rather have chinese so I use Golden Dragon paste, actually it's more of a powder form these days.  Lovely!

That`s good to know, my son prefers Chinese. I`ll look out for it - ta Ells!

I actually didn't see the word curry when I replied to you.  I honestly thought you'd just had cauliflower with brown rice.
