Is it the one from M&S? Ours last night was delish despiye being cooked in a kitchen lit by lamps and covered with dust and bits of rubble.

We're eating out tonight - makes a change as I usually do Sunday lunch for an army - put my foot down today - i have my limits! I'm hoping we can eat from my lovely new kitchen/diner next week.

I love belly pork, Cags; especially with a nice bit of crispy crackling

Soozy, I'm feeling your pain with regards to kitchen refurbing.  I got sick of takeaways and eating out when ours was being gutted. I even did a blog about the drama & uproar day to day crashing and bashings.  It was the 3rd time I'd had the kitchen done and I vowed never again.  It just goes on and on and on....

It'll be worth it in the end though

(We're eating out tonight too )

Yep ...................I know what you mean. The flat roof is being done at the front of the house tomorrow as well as work continuing in the kitchen so I'll have workmen/dust/debris inside and out. It's beginning to grate .................Mr Woo - nowhere to be seen - one of the shops is having a refit tomorrow so guess where he'll be .

Men always have 'other business' to attend to when the builders move in

When we moved into this house (with practically resident builders may I add!), I had the 3 kids at home - no water, no leccy, no nuttin' - and he swanned off to Hong Kong for the UK hand back to China.  There he was poncing about all suited and booted, feeding high on the hog; we were making like gypsies round an indoor campfire.

I even hired a tea urn and cooked on the barby indoors

What colour scheme have you chosen?

And what's your first proper cooked meal going to be?

*still staving off the pangs for Cags' pork belly, drools*

My cooker  and cabinets are cream high gloss - black slate work tops and sink - still undecided on the floor but I think it'll be dark. For the tiles.dining room I'm thinking Duck Egg and Taupe but I'll make my mind up when everything's fitted. I rather like the underground/metro tiles but I think they might be a bit faddy and date (can't see us re fitting for a looooong time).
