The only first albums I can remember buying is Thin Lizzy Live And Dangerous and Jailbreak. I bought them on holiday at my aunty and uncle's in Watford to listen to on the headphones on his stereo and only because it was a novelty of being in Watford  Allthough I'm sure I had stuff before that and can't remember what it was

Well the first album I ever bought was a generic "hits" collection - it wasn't even one of the "biggies" like "Now that's what I call music". However, I got it with a record token I won in a swimming contest...
The first album I bought with my own money was "Snap!" - The Jam's Greatest Hits album.

I never bought that many singles, and when I did it was usually 12" singles to get extra tracks that weren't on the albums. I think the first single I ever bought was "Letter from America" by The Proclaimers...

Yes I think that's what they were. Some years later you got the NOW albums (original arttists) - I've got a lot of them (earliest Now 3 I think)Bucks Fizz Land of Make Believe is on it as I recall.
